First announcement of the XIV meeting of Mathematics and its Applications

The Department of Mathematics of the Escuela Politécnica Nacional (EPN)
invites all researchers and practitioners in the field of pure and
applied Mathematics to send their contributions and to take part of the
XIV Meeting of Mathematics and its Applications. The meeting is a
biennial academic event dedicated to the difussion and discussion of
current topics in mathematics and its applications. The meeting is
addressed to researchers, faculty members, private consultants and
students. The event will be held in the Campus of the Escuela
Politécnica Nacional from the 1st to the 5th of September 2014. The
meeting will be divided into plenary and semi-plenary talks (invited
speakers), and short sessions where the participants will present their
contributions. Together with the meeting there will be short courses and
a mini-workshop on “Numerical modelization of meteorologic phenomena”
organized by ModeMat and INOCAR.


The oficial language of the meeting is Spanish, although contibutions in
English are welcome as well.

*** About the submission of abstracts ***


Abstracts can be sent in pdf, word , LaTeX, or plain text and should
contain no more than 200 words. It must be submitted to the given e-mail
until 22:00 hours of may 30 Ecuador time (GMT-5). Accepted works will be
presented in short sessions of 30 minutes (25 minutes exposition+ 5
minutes questions and answers). Should you have any question, do not
