12o Congresso Brasileiro de Inteligência Computacional (CBIC)

Curitiba (PR), Brazil

October, 13th-16th 2015

The 2nd Latin-American Congress on Computational Intelligence (LA-CCI)
is co-located with the 12o Congresso Brasileiro de Inteligência
Computacional (CBIC).

LA-CCI and CBIC are aimed to provide a high-level international forum
for scientists, researchers, engineers, professionals and educators to
disseminate their latest research results and exchange views of the
future research directions in the area of Computational Intelligence.

In the first day of the event, both the Brazilian and the
Latin-American Schools of Computational Intelligence will take place,
delivering introductory and specialized tutorials with special focus
on students. The events include, also, national and international
key-speakers, bringing the state-of-the-art research in Computational
Intelligence.

LA-CCI and CBIC are co-located and they are aimed to provide a
high-level international forum for scientists, researchers, engineers,
professionals and educators to disseminate their latest research
results and exchange views of the future research directions in the
area of Computational Intelligence.

The conferences will be sponsored  by the Federal University of
Technology – Paraná (UTFPR) at Curitiba. Curitiba is the largest city
of southern Brazil, with about 3.5 million people in the metropolitan
region. It is a major hub for domestic airlines and some international
flights. There are several touristic attractions in Curitiba,
including museums, theaters, football arenas, parks and entertainment.
The city is also considered the “ecological capital” of Brazil due to
its extensive green areas and the environmental issues. Curitiba is 1
hour-flight far from São Paulo, and less than 2 from Rio de Janeiro,
Porto Alegre or Foz do Iguaçu (in the triple frontier with Paraguay
and Argentina).

LA-CCI official language is English. And at CBIC all activities will
be in Portuguese/ Spanish.

Main tracks:

– Evolutionary & Swarm Computation: Genetic Algorithms, Genetic
Programming, Artificial Immune Systems, Swarm Intelligence, Collective
Intelligence, Evolvable Hardware, Bio-inspired Methods.
– Neural & Learning Systems: Neural Networks, Machine Learning,
Complex Systems, Molecular and Quantum Computing, Complex Networks.
– Fuzzy & Stochastic Modeling: Fuzzy Systems, Fuzzy Control & Decision
Making, Uncertainty Analysis, Rough Sets, Fractals, Multiagent
Systems, Reinforcement Learning, Game Theory.
