Scope

The increasing environmental costs and growing customer pressure for eco-friendly products lead many companies and supply chains to look at sustainability as a new measure of competitiveness. In practice, sustainable mobility can include projects to reduce environmental costs and any form of waste through implementation of innovative green technologies within supply chain. More general view involves a close collaboration among supply chain partners to design and implement more efficient and eco-friendly transport, products, packaging, reverse logistics, warehousing.

The goal of the Sustainable Solutions not only in Mobility of Goods conference is to provide a platform for discussion about achieving a more sustainable balance between economic, environmental and social objectives in the area of transport, logistics, marketing and supply chain management. The conference will be focused not only on business and industry, but other areas of sustainable mobility

Highlights

  • Participation in this event will give attendees the unique opportunity to be exposed to all technical scientific aspects of Smart City related topic areas at co-located conferences, as well as be able to have full access to the Smart City market place and business aspects in practice at the Smart City 360 Summit.
  • All accepted papers will be published by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library, one of the world’s largest scientific libraries. Best papers will be invited to publish also in the EAI ET Networks and Intelligent Systems.

Call for Posters

Authors who wish to present their work as posters are required to submit a one-page PDF with a title and an abstract of their work (not the poster itself). Submissions should preferably represent early work that is not yet ready for submission to a refereed conference or journal, or describe a technical (non-marketing) innovation. Authors of accepted posters are expected to prepare and present their posters.

Authors are encoraged to sumbit posters either as a part of their paper, or even as a stand-alone work.

Call for Demos

Technology demos are encouraged. Authors who wish to present a technology prototype are required to submit a one-page PDF with a title and a description of their work. Submissions should preferably represent technological innovations in the making. Submitters of accepted demos are expected to present the demo at the conference.

Paper Submission

All submissions must describe original research, not published or currently under review for another workshop, conference, or journal. The papers should be formatted according to the Springer Author Guidelines (Word or Latex). The submissions should be made through the Confy system.

All the submissions will be reviewed anonymously by at least three expert reviewers. Papers will be judged on originality, correctness, clarity and relevance. Submitted papers must be original work, and may not be under consideration for another conference or journal.

Publications

Accepted papers will be published in the SGSC 2015 Conference Proceedings and by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes of ICST (LNICST). The proceedings will be available both in book form and via the SpringerLink digital library, which is one of the largest digital libraries online and covers a variety of scientific disciplines.

 

The proceedings are submitted for inclusion to the leading indexing services:

  • Thomson Scientific ISI Proceedings,
  • Scopus,
  • EI Elsevier Engineering Index,
  • DBLP,
  • Google Scholar,
  • CrossRef,
  • ICST’s own EU Digital Library (EUDL).
