The fuzzy transform (F-transform) is a universal mathematical method that puts a bridge between fuzzy modeling and classical transforms (such as Fourier,
Laplace, integral, wavelet etc.). We distinguish zero and higher-degree F-transforms. The F-transform based applications vary from image processing to time series analysis and forecasting. Among the related techniques we can name fuzzy regression analysis, fuzzy relational calculus, (fuzzy) mathematical morphology.
The F-transform based technique is comprehensible and has low complexity in realization. All these facts make the F-transform based technique attractive for practitioners.
The special issue aims at further development of the theory of F-transforms and their advanced applications
We invite researchers to prepare contributions that are focused on (but not limited to)
the following topics:
– Analysis of various partitions and their influence of approximation properties (e.g., smoothness) of the F-transform,
– Comparison of the F-transform with other related fuzzy modeling techniques,
– Lattice-based F-transforms and mathematical morphology,
– Numerical methods on the basis of the F-transform,
– Applications of the F-transform and related techniques in data mining, image processing, time series analysis and forecasting,
– Enhancement of existing applications,
Presentation of new special applications.
