We would like to invite you to participate in the Symposium on Research and Consulting (Research via consulting and consulting via research): R&C 2015, www.iiis-info2015.org/rc, being organizied in the context of The 19th World Multi-Conference on Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics (WMSCI 2015) and The 9th International Multi-Conference on Society, Cybernetics and Informatics: IMSCI 2015, which are collocated and to be held in Orlando, Florida, USA, on July 12-15, 2015.

An academic, researcher, professional, or consultant might participate in R&C 2015 by submitting a contributed article which, if accepted, will be included in the conference program. This article might be:

• A research and/or a reflection paper regarding the relationships between research and consulting.
• A case study, or the description of a specific case in which research was done via consulting or consulting was done via research. Such a case can be related to any of the topics of the collocated events and conferences.
• A position paper regarding the participation of university faculties in research via consulting or consulting via research.
• An article regarding the conception, design, and/or the implementation of an organization oriented to “research and consulting”.
• An article describing the different legal and structural forms in which an organization of  research and development has been integrated into an academic context in order to synergistically relate the academic organization to the private and public sector and, in general, to Society.
• An article describing a seminar delivered in the private or public sector that generated other kind of consulting activities, hypothesis formulation, new reflections, new research, case studies, etc.

Submissions for face-to-face and virtual presentations are both accepted. Details about the following issues have also been included at the URLs given above:
•   Pre- and post-conference virtual session.
•   Virtual participation.
•   Two-tier reviewing combining double-blind and non-blind methods.
•   Access to reviewers’ comments and evaluation average.
•   Waiving the registration fee of effective invited session organizers.
•   Best papers awards.
•   Publication of best papers in the Journal of Systemics, Cybernetics, and Informatics (JSCI), which indexed in EBSCO, Cabell, DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), and Google Scholar and Listed in Cabell Directory of Publishing Opportunities and in Ulrich’s Periodical Directory. (All papers to be presented at the conference will be included in the conference printed and electronic proceedings).
