~~~SCOPE~~~
It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the IEEE International Conference on Smart Materials and Spectroscopy (SMS’2018), which will be hosted by the Laboratory of Spectroscopic  Characterization and Optical Materials (LaSCOM) at the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax, on October 12-15, 2018 in a 5* hotel in Yassmine Hammamet (Tunisia), in cooperation with the Laboratory of Physics of Materials and Nanomaterials Applied and Environment (LaPhyMNE) at the Faculty of Sciences of Gabes (Tunisia).
SMS 2018 is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Tunisia Section and IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Society (IMS).
The SMS’2018 conference provides an excellent opportunity for researchers and practitioners at all levels of experience to meet colleagues and to share new ideas and knowledge about Smart Materials and Spectroscopy. The conference enjoys strong participation from researchers in both industry and academia.
~~~AREAS~~~
Topics include but are not limited to the following:
  • Smart Materials: including dielectrics and electrical insulation, shape memory alloys, piezoelectrics, electro/photo/thermo-chromics, self-healing polymers, magnetics, re-configurable devices/components, Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation and Li-Na ion batteries.
  • Semiconductors: including nanotechnology, optoelectronics, processors, memory, memristers and chip design.
  • Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control: including generation, transmission, and detection of ultrasonic waves and related phenomena; medical ultrasound, including hyperthermia, bioeffects, tissue characterization and imaging; ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and piezomagnetic materials, including crystals, polycrystalline solids, films, polymers, and composites; frequency control, timing and time distribution, including crystal oscillators and other means of classical frequency control, and atomic, molecular and laser frequency control standards

~~~Sponsors & Exhibitions~~~
We invite your organisation to be a sponsor. It will play an essential role for the success of the conference. We expect to welcome experts and researchers from all over the world and numerous high-ranking guests. Therefore, we anticipate extensive coverage of the event.
