The paper submission deadline has been extended by 15 days, to 30Jan2020.

On behalf of the IEEE WCCI 2020 Organizing Committee, this is our last of eight emails to invite you to the 2020 IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence (IEEE WCCI 2020), which is the world's largest technical event in the field of Computational Intelligence. It hosts three flagship conferences under one roof:

  • IJCNN – International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (cooperation between IEEE-CIS & INNS)
  • FUZZ-IEEE – IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems
  • IEEE-CEC – IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation

This encourages cross-fertilisation of ideas among the three big areas and provides a forum for intellectuals from all over the world to discuss and present their research findings on computational intelligence.

Call for Papers : (see the printable version) Papers for IEEE WCCI 2020 should be submitted electronically using the Congress website www.wcci2020.org and will be refereed by experts in the fields and ranked based on the criteria of originality, significance, quality and clarity.


Travel grants : As in the past, IEEE-CIS is providing a limited number of travel grants for authors of outstanding student papers. Additionally, a very limited number of travel grants for researchers of developing countries may also be available. Check the link for general details. Further information will be posted on the WCCI 2020 website at a later date.

Soon, the [CEC, FUZZ-IEEE, IJCNN] Conference and Technical Chairs will be sifting through paper submissions to cull out off-topic or incomplete papers, and to assign papers to their program committees. Program Committee members then assign papers to available reviewers, who have already received invitations to do peer reviews.

Venue: IEEE WCCI 2020 will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, UK – one of Europe's most dynamic cultural capitals and the "World's Friendliest City" [Rough Guide 2015]. Steeped in culture, rich in history and alive with an excitement you can sense as you walk through its elegant Victorian streets, squares, parks and gardens. The Conference will be held at the prestigious Scottish Event Campus (SEC), which was a key venue for the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

Accomodations booking website – via the Glasgow convention bureau. Glasgow Convention Bureau is the official accommodation provider for the conference and has negotiated specially discounted rates with a wide range of hotels.
