———————————————————————————————————-
The Workshop on Requirements Engineering 2020 is now in its twentieth-third edition. This series of workshops on the area started in 1998 as a meeting of the Ibero-American requirements engineering community, but since its second edition in Buenos Aires (1999) it has attracted attention from researchers and practitioners from other parts of the world as well.
The WER format promotes discussion and knowledge exchange between academy and industry members. As in the last editions, this one will also feature invited lectures from practitioners, as well as video presentations related to the state-of-the-practice in Requirements Engineering.
Paper Submission:
WER 2020 invites submission of papers describing novel research or experiences in the field of Requirements Engineering. Papers presenting original results on research, teaching and industrial viewpoints on all aspects of Requirements Engineering are welcome. The selection process will consider applicability and relevance to Requirements Engineering, originality, and clarity. All papers must be submitted through the EasyChair submission system at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wer2020 in PDF only, according to the LNCS format.
Submissions must be written in Portuguese, Spanish or English. The paper should not exceed 14 pages if full paper or 6 pages for short papers. Moreover, short papers must adhere to the following structure: 1) Introduction; 2) Objectives of the research; 3) Ongoing work and Contributions; 4) Conclusions and Future work; References.
Any paper that: exceeds the page limit, is not within the scope of the conference, or do not follow the formatting guidelines will be desk-rejected without review. All other submissions are going to be peer-reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee. All accepted papers will be published with Open Access through the WERpapers repository.
IMPORTANT DATES

Video Submission:
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit relevant videos to the field of Requirements Engineering. Videos should pertain to one of the following categories: Educational videos, New RE techniques, RE in practice, Teaching ideas and challenges, and Tool demonstration. Submitted videos will be evaluated based on originality, content quality, video and sound quality, and relevance to WER.
Videos should be able to stand on their own, adequately present their topic, and be narrated in Portuguese, Spanish, or English. The video itself must have a duration of 3-7 minutes. It should not include a video cover, which will be added later by the organizing committee. When preparing the video, please make it as professional as possible. Producing a video already requires a significant amount of effort and spending just a little more effort to raise the quality can make a big difference.
The authors must hold the copyright for all materials used, such as music, video, sounds and images, or have explicit written permission from the copyright holders to use and distribute this material.
Each video must be accompanied by a two-page PDF document. The first page of the document must be formatted according to the LNCS format and should include: a title; contact information with author names, affiliations, and email addresses; a 200-word abstract; a link to the video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo as an unlisted video; Acknowledgements (if applicable); References (if applicable).
