The symposium was successfully inaugurated in 1986 as the“International Symposium on Recent Advances in Microwave Technology (ISRAMT) and later renamed ISMOT in 2000. ISRAMT 1993 and ISMOT 2009 were successfully hosted in New Delhi, India by Department of Electronic Science, University ofDelhi South Campus. The main objective of this symposium has been the exchange of knowledge, research work and harbouring new ideas among microwave,optical, microelectronics community of the world in a very congenial and informal manner. This objective has always been achieved by keeping the size of the conference small and moving the conference in different countries.
