This special issue is basically focused on artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques known for decades that, nowadays, are capable to assist in the development of new solutions to many common problems found in smart cities for network infrastructure and IoT data. Machine learning allows intelligent network infrastructures with smarter data management and cognitive applications in smart city. Thus, deep RL opens up many new applications in domains such as healthcare, robotics, smart grids, finance, and many more(read more).

This issue will be published in EAI Endorsed Transactions on Smart Citiesan open-access, peer-reviewed journal indexed in CrossRef, OCLC, EuroPub, Publons among others. It focuses on applications for Smart Cities with leverage on big-data applications, ICT devices used in factory of the future, HPC, industrial processes, energy efficiency systems, social platforms and more. The journal publishes research articles, review articles and editorials with a triannual frequency. Authors are not charged for article submission and processing.
