TOP STORY
Leading up to its fifteenth General Conference—scheduled from 1 to 4 November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, but whose events will mostly take place online due to the anti-COVID-19 measures—TWAS launched the first TWAS Awards Webinar Series with a line-up of five online webinars to be held by the end of October. The webinars showcase the winners of TWAS Awards and awards in honour of TWAS Fellows. The first webinar on agricultural sciences took place on 10 June. The second, on 8 July, presented the achievements in social and economic sciences of Juan Chi-Hung, of Taiwan, China, co-winner of the 2020 TWAS Award in Social Sciences; Ayodele Samuel Jegede, of Nigeria, co-winner of the 2020 TWAS Award in Social Sciences; and Yang Cuihong, of China, winner of the 2020 TWAS-Siwei Cheng Award in Economic Sciences.
