Dear members of the IEEE Region 9 community,

After last year's successful contest, it is a pleasure to report on the new IEEE Smart Cities 2023 contest.

It will reward those projects of successful cities and municipalities that have completed smart city projects, providing wide dissemination of said activities in communications from the IEEE Smart Cities community.

The award ceremony will take place during the IEEE International Smart Cities ISC2 conference in Bucharest, Romania, September 24-27, 2023.

Who can apply? Official representatives of municipalities/cities, including mayors, city administrators, commissioners, clerks, or any other public authority related to city administration. The projects must be fully operational by April 2023.

DEADLINE for registrations: July 20, 2023

We will promote those cities and municipalities in Latin America and the Caribbean that wish to apply that will have our support and we invite them to send their applications as soon as possible.
