Artificial Intelligence has, over the past few years, moved decisively from research prototypes into deployed systems across multiple high-impact domains. This rapid transition has made reliable deployment of AI models a central challenge. The systems that perform well during validation tests have also produced well-documented failures once deployed. These failures are not incidental; they recur across domains and are driven by structural causes such as data drift, unrepresentative training populations, and evaluation regimes that do not resemble deployment conditions. These challenges motivate the Deployable AI workshop, which aims to bridge the gap between strong model performance and the reliable deployment of AI systems in the field.
This workshop will address these critical research questions for responsible AI deployment. Specifically, the workshop will focus on algorithmic, systemic, and societal considerations to ensure that our AI models adhere to rigorous standards for fairness, ethics, explainability, privacy, and security.
The 5th Workshop of Deployable AI (DAI 2027) will be held at the AAAI 2027 conference on February 22nd/23rd, 2027, with a special focus on the Deployability Aspects of AI Agents.
