Prof. Takahiro Hara | Osaka University | Japan

Takahiro Hara is a full professor in the Department of Multimedia Engineering, Osaka University.

His research interests include database systems, distributed systems, mobile computing, and social computing.

Prof. Hara took part in more than 20 EAI conferences and became EAI Fellow for his extensive involvement.

Prof. Hara presented his Distinguished lecture on Cross-domain Approaches or User Activity prediction in Online and Real Worlds at SmartCity 360 2020 convention.

Prof. Tarik Taleb | Aalto University | Finland

Prof. Tarik Taleb is currently a Professor with the School of Electrical Engineering, Aalto University, Espoo, Finland. 

He is also the founder and the Director of the MOSA!C Lab, Espoo, Finland. Prof. Taleb is EAI Fellow and was involved in many EAI conferences in various roles.

His research interests lie in the field of mobile networking, mobile multimedia streaming, inter-vehicular communications, and cloud computing.

Prof. Taleb presented his lecture on Cross Roads for Cloud & Networks at EAI 6GN 2020.

A Taxonomy of Cyber Attacks in Smart Manufacturing Systems

The authors of this paper, Bethanie Williams and Marena Soulet from Tennessee Tech University did research on cyber attacks that took place in the manufacturing sector over the last several years. They looked into the cyber security framework for manufacturing, which was created by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The presentation became the winner of participants voting during EAI MMS 2021 conference.
