The International Conference Entitled Language, Literary, And Cultural Studies (ICON LATERALS) is a forum for academic, literary, linguistic, and cultural activists or practitioners, as well as the public, to present and discuss issues in the fields of language, literature, and culture. ICON LATERALS has historical roots in the Study Program of English Literature as the organizer of the 1st and 2nd ICON LATERALS, before being managed in the 3rd year by the Department of Languages and Literature.
The first ICON LATERALS were conducted in 2016, with an emphasis on academic dissemination and discussions of critical studies in the fields of language, literature, and cultural studies. The second ICON LATERALS (2017), in contrast to the first ICON LATERALS (2016), brought together top academics, researchers, and practitioners to share and discuss their knowledge, findings, and/or works on all aspects of language, literature, and cultural practices in the digital age. The third ICON LATERALS presents and brings vibrancy and novelty to multidisciplinary discussions in the context of Language, Literature, and Culture as a form of contribution of ideas, beliefs, solutions, and propositions to global phenomena, with the main theme: Building Interdisciplinary Perspective in Literature, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies.
