Call for Book Proposals: Ethics International Press

Dear Dr. De Luise,

Ethics Press invites proposals for scholarly books and edited collections in Humanities and Social Sciences. We will also consider submissions in related fields including Life Sciences and Health Sciences. We specialise in books for the academic market. You can download a Book Proposal Form, and see our Notes of Guidance for Authors here.

All proposals are independently reviewed. To review a proposal, we will require a completed proposal form, a sample of the proposed book, and a cv. If you are unsure whether a proposal is likely to be selected for review, you are welcome to send a summary or abstract first.

Coverage includes:

  • global challenges, such as war and conflict, human rights, sustainability and climate change, food security, poverty, and technology/AI. Our portfolio on Artificial Intelligence has proved popular with authors and customers – you can see our AI books here
  • human rights and equality, including indigenous studies and land rights, and race and gender issues
  • arts, humanities and social science topics including history, society and culture, community, and language and literature
  • applied fields, such as bioethics, education, the built environment, data ethics, and all areas of business, economics, finance, and decision making
  • politics and government, both national and regional
  • legal and medical issues, including healthcare, psychology, counselling and childhood studies. We are looking to expand our current portfolio in medicine and medical ethics
  • philosophical issues such as religion and faith, philosophy, and ethics and morality
  • non-technical topics in the fields of health sciences and life sciences

Our books are all published in English, initially in academic hardback format. We normally offer a paperback version following initial release in hardback. The books we select range from 50,000 words to around 150,000 words. We make no charges to publish.

We will consider adapted Doctoral Theses, and Edited Collections, including adaptations from conferences and symposia. You can find information on Edited Collections, and any Calls for Chapters, on our website.

If you are interested in writing for us, please take a few minutes to look at our website. You can find information including detailed guidelines for authors, our royalty policies, and our current and forthcoming book titles in our Bookshop

Founded in 1993, Ethics Press works with authors, researchers, booksellers, and librarians from all over the world. With more than 100 new titles due to publish in 2024, we aim to build Ethics Press into the world’s leading specialist academic publisher in its field.

We look forward to hearing from you.

With best wishes
