The IEEE International Conference on Automatic Face and Gesture Recognition (FG) is the premier international forum for research on image- and video-based face, gesture, and body behavior analysis and recognition. Its broad scope encompasses advances in computer vision, pattern recognition, machine learning, computer graphics, and related areas, as well as innovative methods and applications involving faces, gestures, human behavior, and body movements.

The 21st IEEE International Conference on Automatic Face and Gesture Recognition (FG 2027) marks an important milestone in the history of the conference series, as it will be held in Africa for the first time.

FG 2027 will take place April 26–30, 2027, in Marrakesh, Morocco, as a fully in-person event. We invite submissions addressing both foundational and emerging research topics in face, gesture, body, and human behavior analysis and recognition.

• Author notification: December 20, 2026
• Camera-ready paper: January 26, 2027
