The objective of this Special Issue is to present recent studies in how the elderly perceive cloud and IoT technology, any technology fears, their desire to engage in the IoT and cloud market, and factors which might help them to do so. The Special Issue also aims to present novel solutions which can be rolled-out to support the elderly in their use of technology, and to examine if contributions are possible from the network management perspective to encourage the elderly in their online use (read more).

This issue will be published in EAI Endorsed Transactions on Cloud Systems an open-access, peer-reviewed journal abstracted/indexed in DOAJ, DLPB CrossRef, EBSCO, EuroPub, among others. It focuses on cloud systems and four technology pillars: mobile computing, cloud services, big data analytics, and social networking. The journal publishes research articles, review articles and editorials with a triannual frequency. Authors are not charged for article submission and processing.
