The goals of AIML 2021 are to present a variety of novel AI applications and case studies; to examine risks and concerns of AI and machine learning (ML); to outline practical challenges in formulating an AI strategy and deploying AI applications; to facilitate interaction and information exchange among AI researchers, practitioners, and business executives; and to discuss new concepts such as AI for good, Responsible AI, and Explainable AI.
After decades of generous promises and frustrating disappointments, artificial intelligence (AI) is delivering real-world benefits, and adopters in businesses and industry in different sectors are embracing the promise of AI reaping significant benefits. To make the connected, smartening world, smarter and to embrace AI for good for the benefit of the society, information on recent and ongoing progress and new innovative applications, as well as challenges and lessons learned need to be shared and discussed. This workshop is aligned with this year’s conference theme, “Intelligent and Resilient Computing for a Collaborative World.”. It’ll cover several elements of AI research and practice and socio-technical challenges facing adoption of AI in new innovative applications, outline status of AI in practice, and examine AI’s yet to be realised potential.
This workshop will facilitate much needed interaction and information exchange among AI researchers, practitioners and business executives. It will provide an interactive forum for discussion on recent and ongoing developments, key issues and challenges, and practices related to AI applications. It will also serve as a platform to present case studies and application experience as well as to demonstrate applications and software tools. Researchers and practitioners from all over the world, from academia, industry, and government will be invited to present their work and perspectives and participate in the workshop.

Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research work, as well as industrial practice reports. Simultaneous submission to other publication venues is not permitted. In accordance with IEEE policy, submitted manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism. Instances of alleged misconduct will be handled according to the IEEE Publication Services and Product Board Operations Manual.
Please note that in order to ensure the fairness of the review process, COMPSAC follows the double-blind review procedure. Therefore we kindly ask authors to remove their names, affiliations and contacts from the header of their papers in the review version. Please also redact all references to authors’ names, affiliations or prior works from the paper when submitting papers for review. Once accepted, authors can then include their names, affiliations and contacts in the camera-ready revision of the paper, and put the references to their prior works back.
Workshop papers are limited to 6 pages. Page limits are inclusive of tables, figures, appendices, and references. Workshop papers can add an additional 2 pages with additional page charges ($250USD/page).
IEEE Paper templates are available in MS Word 2003 and LaTex. All submissions must use US 8.5×11 letter page format.

Del 26 al 30 de julio se llevará a cabo la 34º edición de la Escuela de Ciencias Informáticas, ECI VIRTUAL 2021, organizada por el Departamento de Computación de la Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales de la Universidad de Buenos Aires.
El objetivo de la ECI es contribuir a la formación de alumnos, graduados y profesionales de ciencias informáticas y disciplinas afines. Los cursos tienen un formato intensivo, son dictados por profesores de prestigio internacional y tratan temas habitualmente no cubiertos por las carreras de grado. Al mismo tiempo, se desarrollan conferencias académicas, así como también charlas, paneles y stands de empresas auspiciantes, que permiten a los y las participantes generar nuevos vínculos con el sector productivo.
Este año, debido a la pandemia en curso, la Escuela será virtual y gratuita, por primera vez en su larga historia (es la edición número 34), lo que permitirá a más gente asistir a sus cursos. Se desarrollará través de canales de Zoom y un espacio virtual en Discord (que serán anunciados a su debido tiempo), donde llevar las interacciones “dentro y fuera del aula”, entre estudiantes, profesores, investigadores, profesionales y empresas que nos acompañarán con sus stands virtuales.
La oferta académica de la ECI 34 cuenta con 9 cursos divididos en cuatro ejes temáticos: “Computación e información cuántica”, “Fundamentos de lenguajes de programación”, “Socioeconomía computacional” e “Inteligencia artificial”.
Cada curso tiene una duración de 15 hs. reloj en total (3 horas por día, de lunes a viernes). El turno mañana (M) se desarrolla de 9 a 12 hs, el turno tarde (T) de 13:30 a 16:30 hs y el turno noche (N) de 18 a 21 hs. Daniela Lopez de Luise We are pleased to announce the 3rd edition of the Image Matching Workshop, co-located with CVPR 2021. Its goal is to encourage and highlight novel strategies for image matching that deviate from and advance traditional formulations, with a focus on large-scale, wide-baseline matching for 3D reconstruction and pose estimation. This can be achieved by applying new technologies to sparse feature matching, or doing away with keypoints and descriptors entirely.

Workshop topics include (but are not limited to):
• Formulations of keypoint extraction and matching pipelines with deep networks.
• Application of geometric constraints into the training of deep networks.
• Leveraging additional cues such as semantics and mono-depth estimates.
• Methods addressing adversarial conditions where current methods fail (weather changes, day versus night, etc.).
• Attention mechanisms to match salient image regions.
• Integration of differentiable components into 3D reconstruction frameworks.
• Connecting local descriptors/image matching with global descriptors/image retrieval.
• Matching across different data modalities such as aerial versus ground.
• Large-scale evaluation of classical and modern methods for image matching, by means of our open challenge.
• New perception devices such as event-based cameras.
• Other topics related to image matching, structure from motion, mapping, and re-localization, such as privacy-preserving representations.
# SUBMISSION
We invite paper submissions up to 8 pages, excluding references and acknowledgements. They should use the CVPR template and be sent to the IMW2020 CMT site. Submissions must contain novel work and will be indexed in IEEE Xplore/CVF. They will receive at least two double-blind reviews.
