Curso virtual “Introducción a la Programación con R”

Docentes: Soledad Represa y Myrian Elizabeth Aguilar

Duración: 4 semanas

Cantidad estimada de horas por semana: 5 horas (el curso no requiere
de clases sincronicas ni horarios especificos de conexion)

Descripción: El curso se inicia con la introducción al mundo de R.
Se verá algo de la historia de este lenguaje, instalaremos R y
R-Studio, y se comenzará a adquirir las nociones básicas de
programación. Se aprenderá a definir variables de distintas clases
y a realizar operaciones algorítmicas, relacionales y lógicas con
ellas, así como las estructuras de control. También se verá cómo
generar tablas de datos para trabajar en R y cuáles son las
sentencias para realizar un análisis exploratorio de rutina.
Finalmente se recorrerá la realización de gráficos con R.

Dirigido a: Público general. No se requieren conocimientos previos,
si bien es recomendable tener nociones básicas de estadística.

Modalidad: Las clases son virtuales a traves del campus de SADIO.

Evaluación: Cada unidad será evaluada al finalizar la misma.

Objetivos: Iniciarse en la programación y en el uso de R para el
manejo de datos (lectura, gestión y análisis estadístico
descriptivo) desde diferentes formatos y generar gráficas
personalizadas.

Antecedentes de las docentes:

Soledad Represa, Doctora en Ingeniería Geomática, por la
Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (España) y Doctora en Cs.
Exactas, por la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, con mención de
honor. Docente de la Facultad de Ciencias. Astronómicas y
Geofísicas (UNLP). Actualmente, desarrollando una estancia de
investigación posdoctoral en el Instituto de altos estudios
espaciales «Mario Gulich» (Comisión Nacional de Actividades
Espaciales – Universidad Nacional de Córdoba) financiada por
CONICET.

Myrian Elizabeth Aguilar, Química, egresada de la Facultad de
Ciencias Exactas, Universidad Nacional de La Plata. En relación
laboral desde el año 2004 con el Centro de Investigaciones del
Ambiente (CIM) Unidad asociada a CONICET. Docente con experiencia en
investigación y extensión universitaria. Participación en más de
13 proyectos de extensión desde el año 2005. Docente de nivel
secundario básico y escuelas técnicas. Seguimiento de alumnos de
escuelas Técnicas Pre-Universitarios en Prácticas
Profesionalizantes. Coordinadora del Programa “Contaminación y
Salud Comunitaria” de la Secretaría de Extensión de UNLP.
