VMV 2025

is the 30th annual symposium of the Computer Graphics Special Interest Group of the German Informatics Society. It is well-established as Germany’s premier scientific meeting that covers the full spectrum of visual computing, including computer graphics, computer vision, visualization, and visual analytics, with a special emphasis on the link between the disciplines. The symposium offers researchers the opportunity to discuss a wide range of different topics within an open, international, and interdisciplinary environment. Besides the research, the forum has a tradition to be a networking event of Germany-based researchers, with typically over 80 participants including many world-leading experts. The conference main program (Monday to Wednesday) includes several keynote speakers. The social program includes a reception and a conference dinner. 

As in previous years, the proceedings will be published in cooperation with Eurographics and are archived in the EG digital library. Authors are encouraged to submit their original research results, practice and experience reports, or novel applications.

CONFERENCE PAPERS

Contributors are invited to submit papers of up to 8 pages in the EG publication style. Longer papers are expected to make additional contributions. The review process will be double-blind. NECTAR TRACK

The nectar track is an opportunity to contribute a poster presentation to the program of VMV by presenting a paper already published within the last year at a previous major international computer graphics, computer vision, or machine learning conference or journal. This way, you can generate additional exposure for your work and have a platform for networking with colleagues within and outside the VMV community. IEEE CHILECON 2025 will be held in Valparaíso, Chile, from 27 to 31/October. The IEEE CHILECON conference is celebrating 50 years of research and innovation (IEEE CHILECON 2025, chilecon2025.pucv.cl/), and promotes the advancement and exchange of knowledge and experiences to foster discussion of problems and establish cooperative ties across all areas of academic, professional, and student knowledge. It brings together professionals whose technical interests are related to electrical and computer science, engineering, and related disciplines, promoting cooperation and friendship. This year, IEEE CHILECON will be co-located with CLEI (Latin American Center for Informatics Studies) and SCCC (annual International Conference of the Chilean Computer Society). In this edition, a key space for discovering innovations in the video game industry and academia is the CHILECON 2025 Video Game Track, held in conjunction with the TZEPIRC Workshop: Fostering Cooperation between Academia and Industry in Video Games.
The Video games track of the IEEE CHILECON 2025 invites submissions of papers that thoroughly present innovative theoretical and/or practical findings that enhance the state of the art, as well as applications and case studies in the field of video games and gamification.

The objective is to introduce participants to the TZEPIRC methodology, a structured approach to writing argumentative texts as scientific articles in the field of video games. The essential elements of the methodology are the Title (T), Problem (P), Approach (E), Purpose (P), Information (I), and Conclusions (C).
Furthermore, the workshop will highlight how this methodology promotes collaboration to address complex challenges at the intersection of technology and creativity, within the framework of REDIVJ (International Network on Video Game Development and Production) and the IEEE Task Force on Gamification Research and Education.
