Call for papers
The First International Conference on Emerging Techniques in Computational Intelligence, ETCI2021, technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, will be held at Hyderabad on Aug 25-27, 2021. This aims to highlight the evolution of topics, frontline research and multiple applications, in the domain of Computational Intelligence from the mainstream foundations to novel investigations. The conference comprises one day of tutorial sessions followed by two days of Keynote Lectures by invited international experts from Industry and Academia, paper presentations and competitions. Also, the conference hosts several special sessions on emerging technologies and applications in computational intelligence. The Conference will be supported by the Industry relevant tutorials conducted by NVidia, TechMahindra and others. More information on the Conference may be found at www.ietcint.com
ETCI 2021 invites you to submit your original, previously unpublished innovative work in any area of Computational Intelligence, both emerging topics which form the theme of the conference as well as more foundational areas. There are three main tracks of the Conference (i) Deep Learning, (ii) Sequence Modeling, and (iii) General Topics in Computational Intelligence. Some of the approved Special Sessions include (i) Intelligent Agents, (ii) ANNs in Computer and Robot Vision, and (iii) Data Analytics for Earth Observation. The Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the list given at http://ietcint.com/user/tracks.
All submitted manuscripts will be subjected to three or more reviews. Accepted and presented papers will be submitted to IEEE Xplore for digital publication.
Paper Submission
Manuscripts for Emerging Techniques in Computational Intelligence 2021 should be submitted electronically at https://edas.info/N27827
Authors should submit manuscripts up to 6 A4-sized pages in length, including figures, tables and references, prepared using the provided templates. Two additional pages can be included at additional cost.
Paper Templates
The paper size should be A4 and must be prepared in two-column format. They should be formatted according to standard templates for IEEE Conference Proceedings, available for Microsoft Word and LaTeXat https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html.
Call for Special Sessions
Special session proposals are invited to the 2021 ICETCI http://ietcint.com/user/call_for_special_sessions.
A special session proposal should include the title, aim and scope (including a short description of the main topic) of the proposed session, and the names, e-mail addresses, affiliations and short bios of the organizers. A list of potential contributors will be helpful.
Special session proposals will be evaluated based on the relevance of the topic to the theme of the Conference, its uniqueness, and qualifications of the proposers. The proposers are expected to have a PhD degree and a good publication track record in the proposed area. Proposals of similar topics will be requested to integrate. Accepted special sessions will be listed on the website.

Call for Competitions
Competitions are a key component of academic events, as they comprise effective means for making rapid progress in specific topics. By posing a challenge to the academic community, competition organizers contribute to pushing the state of the art in specific subjects and/or to solve problems of practical importance.
We invite proposals for the 2021 IEEE International Conference on Emerging Techniques in Computational Intelligence (2021 IEEE ICETCI) competition track to be held in Mahindra University Hyderabad, India.
We solicit competition proposals on any topic of interest to the ICETCI community. We especially encourage competition proposals from emerging new fields or new application domains related to computational intelligence. Interdisciplinary topics that will attract a significant cross-section of the community are especially highly encouraged.
Proposals should follow the format of standard data science competitions, where participants will compete to obtain the best score on a machine learning task of interest to the ICETCI community based on a problem and data defined and released by the organizers of the competition.
The results of competitions will be announced during a dedicated session of the 2021 IEEE ICETCI conference, where competition results will be presented and discussed. Competition organizers will be asked to propose a tentative schedule for presentation of the competition and its results during an assigned time slot. Additionally, there will be a joint poster session where participants of all competitions can share and discuss their results. Publication opportunities are being explored for organizers and participants of competitions and will be announced after acceptance of competition.

Review and Selection Process
A competition program committee will be formed, consisting of experts on both machine learning and challenge organization. Each proposal will be reviewed by at least three members of the committee. The factors that will be considered when evaluating proposals include:
Task chosen: Impact, originality, relevance to the ICETCI community will all be considered. Tasks that include humanitarian and/or positive societal impact are especially highly encouraged this year, although other topics relevant to the ETCI community will also be considered. If humanitarian projects are submitted, the involvement of the community in question is strongly desired, and “parachute science” is strongly discouraged.
Protocol of competition: Feasibility of the task chosen, soundness of the evaluation criteria, and clarity and fairness of the competition rules will all be considered.
Logistics: Schedule, plan for attracting competition participants, and experience and diversity of the organizers will all be considered.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Competition organizers should propose a timeline for running the competition to ensure that participants have enough time to contribute high-quality entries. It is recommended that competitions be completed by the end of July 2021 at the absolute latest.

| The 12th International Multi-Conference on Complexity, Informatics and Cybernetics: IMCIC 2021, will be held on March 9 – 12, 2021, in Orlando, Florida, USA.

This conference has always contemplated the two modalities of participation: face to face and virtual. However, given the current Coronavirus situation and travel restrictions, at this moment we are only accepting submissions for virtual participation. If the situation changes and we feel the safety of our participants would not be at risk, we will start accepting submissions for face-to-face participation, and those authors who submitted their article for virtual participation will have the ability to change their participation modality to face-to-face, if they wish.
The Proceedings of IMCIC and ICSIT/ICETI have been indexed by Elsevier's SCOPUS since 2010. The 2021 proceedings will also be sent to Elsevier's SCOPUS.

The deadlines for this CFP are as follows:
- October 27th, 2020: Article submissions
- October 27th, 2020: Invited/Special session proposals

Both synchronous and asynchronous virtual presentations are possible. Therefore, the authors who participate virtually in the conference have the option of:
- Submitting a slide show and/or a pre-recorded video of their presentation (asynchronous presentation) or
- Making their presentation via Zoom (synchronous presentation)
Additionally, each paper to be presented at the event, virtually or in-person, may be read and commented on, via electronic forums, and evaluated by those participants who have registered for the conference.
You also have the option to contribute as a member of the Organizing Committee by accepting our invitation for organizing an invited or special session, where you would have the responsibility of promoting your session and reviewing the articles submitted to you. You should appoint your own reviewers to support you. Effective organizers will be included as co-editors of the volume of the proceedings in which the papers of the session(s) that they organized have been included. If you accept this invitation, please submit your proposal through the conference web site.
Keynote speakers will be selected from registered authors whose submissions are among the best according to their external reviewers. The identification of the best submissions will be based on the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the reviewers and the percentage of reviewers recommending the acceptance of the submission as related to all the reviewers who made their respective reviews. For this reason, we recommend you to submit your paper early.
Registered authors of accepted submissions will be invited to make an additional presentation with no additional charge , if such a presentation is oriented to inter-disciplinary communication. These authors will also have the option of writing an invited paper associated with their respective invited presentation.
Furthermore, the best papers presented at the conference, as selected by the audiences of each respective session, will also be published in the Journal of Systemics, Cybernetics, and Informatics (JCSI). JSCI is indexed in EBSCO, Cabell, DOAJ, and Google Scholar and is listed in Cabell Directory of Publishing Opportunities and in Ulrich's Periodical Directory.
For the past 25 years, professors, students, and researchers from all over the world have come together at our conferences to present research and engage in interdisciplinary discussion. It is this interdisciplinary focus that allows our attendees to discover new viewpoints they otherwise would not have discovered in a uni-disciplinary conference. These new viewpoints become intellectual seeds which, as they slowly bloom over time, expand their understanding of their own respective disciplines.
Many of our participants look forward to our conferences every year as they allow them to publish their papers, share their life's work, create a network of influential and like-minded colleagues, and expand their ever-growing understanding of their respective disciplines, as well as learn about new disciplines.
