Our conference entitled 'The 4th International conference on intelligent decision science' was supposed to be organized on 12-15 May 2020 at BAU in Istanbul but now because of the Coronavirus pandemic problems it is going to be organized as an online conference on 7-8 August 2020.

All accepted papers will be published in the Springer SCOPUS and ISI indexed book series entitled 'Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing'.

Submission Guidelines

Two types of submissions are invited to the workshop: long papers (6 to 8 pages + n references pages) and short papers (2-4 pages + n references pages). In both cases there is no page limit for the bibliography/references (n pages) section.       

All submissions should be formatted according to the standard IEEE RAS Formatting Instructions and Templates avialble at http://ras.papercept.net/conferences/support/tex.php. Authors are required to submit their papers electronically in PDF format.

Background

Humans naturally interact and collaborate in unstructured social environments that produce an overwhelming amount of information and may yet hide behaviourally relevant variables. Finding the underlying design principles that allow humans to adaptively find and select relevant information is important for Robotics but also other fields, such as Computational Neuroscience, Interaction Design, and Computer Vison.

Current solutions cover specific tasks, e.g. autonomous cars, and usually employ over-redundant, expensive, and computationally demanding sensory systems that attempt to cover the wide set of sensing conditions which the systems may have to deal with. A promising alternative is to take inspiration from the brain. Adaptive control of sensors and the perception process is a key solution found by nature to cope with computational and sensory demands, as shown by the foveal anatomy of the eye and its high mobility.

Alongside this application of “active” vision, collaborative robotics has recently progressed to human-robot interaction in real manufacturing. Partners’ gaze behaviours are a crucial source of information that humans exploit for collaboration and coordination. Thus measuring and modelling task-specific gaze behaviours seems to be essential for smooth human-robot interaction. Indeed, anticipatory control for human-in-the-loop architectures, which can enable robots to proactively collaborate with humans, could gain much from parsing the gaze and actions patterns of the human partners.

We are interested in manuscripts that present novel, brain inspired computational and robotic models, theories and experimental results as well as reviews relevant to these topics. Submissions should further our understanding of how humans actively control their perception during social interaction, in which conditions they fail, and how these insights may enable natural interaction between humans and embodied artificial systems in non-trivial conditions.

The foundation of 5G and beyond mobile networks lies in the convergence
between networking and computing. The most appealing realization of such
convergence is the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and
machine learning (ML) to optimize network functions. The latter has
generated an increasing interest from academia and industry paving the
path for the transformation from the 5G paradigm “connected things” into
a “connected intelligence” vision for beyond 5G and 6G mobile networks.
To this end, the role of AI/ML is to support zero-touch configuration
and orchestration, thereby enabling self-configuration and
self-optimization of the mobile network. Mobile networks are indeed
becoming increasingly complex, heterogeneous, dynamic and dense, which
makes extremely hard to model correctly their behavior. Model-free
solutions that AI enable can overcome such challenge.

This Special Session seeks contributions from experts in areas such as
network programming, distributed systems, machine learning, data
science, data structures and algorithms, and optimization to discuss the
latest research ideas and results on the application of AI/ML to
networking. Specifically, this Special Session welcomes contributions in
the following major areas (indicative list, other related topics will
also be considered):

– Machine learning (ML) and big data analytics in networking
– Case studies showing (dis)advantages of AI/ML techniques for
networking over traditional ones
– Edge-driven data analytics and applications to smart cities
– AI/ML assisted network optimization
– Resource-efficient machine learning for mobile networks

** SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS **

Prospective authors are invited to submit a full paper of not more than
six (6) IEEE style pages including results, figures and references.
Papers should be submitted via EDAS. Papers submitted to the conference,
must describe unpublished work that has not been submitted for
publication elsewhere. All submitted papers will be reviewed by at least
three TPC members, while submission implies that at least one of the
authors will register and present the paper at the conference.

As you may be aware, the World Health Organization officially declared
the novel coronavirus COVID-19 a pandemic. This global health crisis is
a unique challenge that has impacted many members of the IEEE family. We

Governments around the world are now issuing restrictions on travel,
gatherings, and meetings in an effort to limit and slow the spread of
the virus. The health and safety of the IEEE community is our first

Following the advice and guidelines from healthcare officials and local
authorities, the IEEE CAMAD 2020 will now be held virtually on 14-16
September.

researchers and students around the world.

Accepted papers for the IEEE CAMAD 2020 will be submitted for inclusion
in IEEE Xplore Digital Library after they are presented at the virtual
conference. Information and instructions on how to prepare for a virtual
presentation will be sent separately.

Registration fees for the IEEE CAMAD 2020 have been adjusted. Authors
and non-authors who have registered at the original fees will be
refunded the price difference.

Description

We gladly announce the second workshop for Shape Analysis in Medical Imaging (SHAPEMI, https://shapemi.github.io/) held in conjunction with MICCAI – Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Interventions, as a virtual event on (or around) Oct 4, 2020

Aim and Scope

Shape and geometry methods are at the core of multiple applications and novel technologies in medical imaging.  

This workshop provides a presentation venue for researchers working in shape and geometrical analysis, such as shape modeling, geometric learning and statistics. We focus on (i) shape methods, (ii) applications and (iii) software packages.

Original contributions as well as exciting applications in medical imaging are sought in the form of:

* 8-12 page papers (excluding references and acknowledgements)

We plan on publishing a workshop proceedings with accepted full papers in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). Please note that at least one co-author must register to the workshop by the early bird registration deadline August 17, 2020.

Presentation: Accepted papers will have to pre-record a short (probably 10 or 15 min) presentation that will be due two weeks before the workshop. The idea is to make these talks available to the attendees in advance of the workshop, but we need to wait what MICCAI plans. 
Summary-Slide: Furthermore, a one-slide summary of the paper (PDF) needs to be submitted together with the recorded talks.
Live-Session: The summary slide will be shown for featured papers during a live pitch on Oct. 4th. We plan a couple minutes for the live presentation followed by a short Q&A session. 


This workshop will provide an invaluable opportunity for researchers to present recent work on shape analysis in medical imaging. Interactions during the live portion will provide feed-back, insights and networking opportunities.

Special Session on “Multimedia Datasets for Repeatable Experimentation (MDRE)”
MMM 2021 – 27th International Conference on Multimedia Modeling
January 25-27, 2021 @ Prague, Czech Republic

Information retrieval and multimedia content access has a long history of comparative evaluation and many of the advances in the area over the past decade can be attributed to the availability of open datasets that support comparative and repeatable experimentation. Sharing data and code to allow other researchers to replicate research results is needed in the multimedia modeling field and helps to improve the performance of systems and the reproducibility of published papers. 

The MDRE’21 special session at MMM 2021, the third in the MDRE series, presents an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to submit their datasets to this track, making their work permanently available and citable via the http://mmdatasets.org forum, as well as to increase the public awareness of their considerable efforts. Together with the dataset, authors are asked to provide a paper describing its motivation, design, and usage, a brief summary of the experiments performed to date on the dataset, as well as discussing the way it can be useful to the community.  We may additionally accept a small number of position papers of high quality, which we believe can significantly impact multimedia datasets in the future, by addressing various aspects of the dataset creation and release process. We will prefer position papers that are backed up by recent results, which could be already published or appear first in the MDRE submission. 

We seek high-quality submissions of length up to 12 pages. We invite a variety of submissions to the special session:
  • Dataset papers: These papers should present recent and impactful datasets that would be of interest to the MMM community.
  • Position papers: These papers can address various aspects of the creation, release or use of multimedia datasets. 

All papers must represent original and unpublished work that is not currently under review. 

Special session papers will supplement the regular research papers and will be included in the proceedings of MMM 2021 and the datasets will be indexed by the MDRE website (http://mmdatasets.org). 

Submissions:
Submissions will follow the exact same author guidelines of MMM 2021. The conference proceedings will be published in the series of Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) by Springer. Submissions must not exceed 12 pages and must conform to the formatting instructions of Springer Verlag, LNCS series, and adhere to the submission schedule. Regular research paper submissions will be peer-reviewed in a double-blind review process; thus, the submissions must be properly anonymised. Each contribution must be associated with one full registration; only one contribution can be associated with each registration. Regarding the submission of a paper describing a new MM dataset, the authors are encouraged to make it available by providing a public URL on the MDRE dedicated site that archives outputs of the MDRE special sessions. All datasets described must be licensed in such a manner that it can be legally and freely used with all appropriate ethical approvals completed. Authors are encouraged to prepare appropriate and helpful documentation to accompany the dataset submissions, including examples of how it can be used by the community, examples of successful usage and restrictions on usage. 

Why Submit to the MDRE Special Session?
– Accepted contributions will be included in the MMM conference proceedings, as part of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series by Springer. Authors of selected  MMM papers will be invited to publish extended versions in a journal special issue.
– Accepted contributions will be listed in the new archive of MDRE multimedia datasets and frameworks (http://mmdatasets.org), thereby increasing their visibility.
– Authors of accepted contributions will be invited to present their dataset (or framework) as part of the special session at MMM 2021.
– MDRE is planned to be an annual special session at the MMM conference series.
