Scope

Big data is the one of the most emerging technology, which includes science, engineering, business and the arts. Data is growing at an exponential pace. Its growth is many fold, and hence, it is defined by many V’s and a C. The Big Data poses many challenges, which includes data capture, curation, storage, search, sharing, transfer, analysis, and visualization. Moreover, there is a rapid growth of modern technology in the IT industry, which keeps the data growth rate of Big Data at an exponential pace. For instance, 5G, IoT, Fog Computing, Wearable technology, etc. demands rising of Big Data 2.0 (read more).

Brains, Minds, and Machines Summer Course 2020

Dear friends,

Applications are invited for the 2020 Brains, Minds, and Machines Summer Course, to be held in Woods Hole, MA from Aug 6 through Aug 27th.

Application: https://www.mbl.edu/education/courses/brains-minds-and-machines/

Application deadline: April 6, 2020

The basis of intelligence – how the brain produces intelligent behavior and how we may be able to replicate intelligence in machines – is arguably the greatest problem in science and technology. To solve it, we will need to understand how human intelligence emerges from computations in neural circuits, with rigor sufficient to reproduce similar intelligent behavior in machines. Success in this endeavor ultimately will enable us to understand ourselves better, to produce smarter machines, and perhaps even to make ourselves smarter. Lecturers include DiCarlo, Desimone, Freiwald, Katz, Kanwisher, Kreiman, Poggio, Sompolinsky, Tenenbaum, Wilson, several speakers from industry, and many more. CGI’ 2020 Call for Papers

CALL FOR PAPERS

COMPUTER GRAPHICS INTERNATIONAL CGI 2020, Geneva, Switzerland, 22-25 June, 2020

Computer Graphics International (CGI) 2020 will be held in Geneva, Switzerland on June 22-25, 2020. CGI is one of the oldest annual international conferences on Computer Graphics in the world. Researchers across the whole world are invited to share their experiences and novel achievements in various fields – as Computer Graphics and Human-Computer Interaction. Former CGI conferences have been held in Yokohama, Japan, Heraklion, Greece, Strasbourg, France, Sydney, Australia, Bintan, Indonesia and Calgary, Canada. This year, CGI is organized by MIRALab, University of Geneva, Switzerland together with the Computer Graphics Society (CGS).

Geneva is Switzerland’s second largest city, known as the City of Peace, and is home, among other things, to the European headquarters of UN, CERN and many museums.
The conference will be held at the beautiful campus of Biotech (
https://www.campusbiotech.ch/en/).
