Entropy is a powerful tool that has changed the analysis of information. The use of entropy has been extended in metaheuristics and bioinspired algorithms from measuring uncertainty to helping to explore and exploit search spaces in optimization. Different kinds of entropy are used depending on what is required. Moreover, in the information era, it is necessary to use metaheuristics and bioinspired methods to provide accurate solutions to complex problems. Hybrid algorithms are also important; they merge skills from different approaches and make decisions based on different rules to accurately explore the possible solutions.
Since the fields of metaheuristics and bioinspired algorithms are constantly growing, it is complicated to follow all the branches where they are combined with entropy. Considering the above, this Special Issue aims to present the latest advances in metaheuristics and bioinspired algorithms that employ or solve problems where entropy is included. It also seeks to include literature reviews and surveys on related topics.

CALL FOR PAPERS
The 10th International Conference on Multimedia Communications, Services and Security (MCSS 2020), organised by AGH University of Science and Technology, will take place on June 18-19, 2020 in Krakow, Poland within the scope of and under the auspices of the ECHO project within the framework of the EU program Horizon 2020.
Paper submission
Articles should be submitted until 2nd February 2020.
The accepted papers will be published in Springer’s 10th International Conference, MCSS 2020, Proceedings. Additionally, selected extended articles will be published in the „International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science” with Impact Factor 1.504 (2018).
Topics of interest
The objective of the 10th Multimedia Communications, Services & Security (MCSS'20) conference is to present research and developments contributing to several aspects of cybersecurity. We are inviting both theoretical and experimental papers as well as work-in-progress research. This conference is mainly related to the topics presented within the ECHO project.

Daniela Lopez de Luise The 17th International Conference on Ubiquitous Robots (UR 2020) will be held in the Ritsumeikan University – Suzaku Campus, Kyoto, Japan, from June 22-26, 2020. Since its inception in 2004, Ubiquitous Robots has now established itself as a leading mid-size robotics conference, bringing together robotics researchers from around the world who share the vision that robots, like mobile phones, will become ubiquitous in our daily lives, and help connect and empower humans.
Robotics is the ultimate interdisciplinary field, and Ubiquitous Robots invites contributions from the entire foundational spectrum—design, perception, manipulation, interfaces, mobility, intelligence—and application domains— industrial, social and cultural interaction, transportation, medical, rehabilitation, healthcare, agriculture, construction, security, disaster, and many others.

Paper Submission
• Regular Papers (4-8 pages): Prospective authors are invited to submit high-quality papers for oral presentation, and the accepted papers will be included in Ubiquitous Robots IEEE Xplore Conference Proceedings.
• Work-in-Progress Papers (2-6 pages): The conference seeks contributions from a broad set of on-going works for poster presentation with possible active interaction in the conference. The accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings for distribution to the conference participants. However, work-in-progress papers will not be uploaded to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
• Basically, the accepted regular papers and work-in-progress papers will be assigned to oral sessions and poster sessions respectively. However, the papers may be moved across the presentation types according to decision of program committee.
Paper Templates and Online Submission
Authors should prepare their papers based on template provided by IEEE (LaTex template or Microsoft Word template). All papers must be written in English and submitted electronically in A4 PDF format. Submission links are now available on ras.papercept.net.

Call for Organized Sessions
The goal of organized sessions is to provide focused discussions on a new topic or innovative applications of a new approach related to the various aspects of all kinds of robots.
At least 4 papers are required for each organized session. It is highly recommended that each session should consist of a mix of first authors from at least two different countries. Note that papers submitted to organized sessions are reviewed by the Conference Editorial Board (CEB). The CEB makes a decision on the acceptance and the type of presentation. If a session has less than 4 papers, accepted papers will be allocated to regular sessions wherever possible, or will be completed with regular papers of similar topic.
If you intend to propose an organized session, please fill out the form and submit it to kros@kros.org no later than Jan. 15, 2020.
Call for Workshops & Tutorials
As with previous UR conferences, the organizers intend to arrange an extensive program of workshops and tutorials to be held prior to the conference. Proposals that address topics related to the conference theme are welcome.
Workshops should focus in presenting results and promoting discussion about a well-defined active research area of interest for the robotics community. Tutorials should aim at presenting principles/tools of established fields of research for dissemination purposes to general audiences.
