Workshop Competencias ECI 2019-Viernes 7/6 a las 17:30hs

Invitamos a participar del Workshop de las Competencias ECI, que se realizará el próximo viernes 7/6 a las 17:30 hs. como cierre de la Jornada de Ciencia de Datos de la Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales (UBA), en el Aula Magna, Pabellón 1 de Ciudad Universitaria.

Como ya es tradición desde 2017, y en el marco de esta ECI, se organizarán dos competencias. Estas competencias plantean problemas interesantes y reales de ciencia de datos, con el objetivo de estimular el interés de la comunidad en este tema de tanta relevancia actual. Cualquier persona interesada podrá participar de las competencias, esté inscriptx o no en la ECI. Este año contaremos con dos nuevas competencias de Despegar (Clasificación automática de escenas en imágenes de alojamientos) y AlixPartners (Predicción de ventas estacionales), nuevamente en la plataforma Meta:Data de la Fundación Sadosky.

Durante el Workshop, los equipos técnicos de Despegar y AlixPartners presentarán los desafíos. No es necesario asistir para participar de las competencias, pero seguramente será de utilidad para lxs interesadxs porque se describirán los problemas en detalle y se darán tips útiles. Además, lxs asistentes van a poder interactuar con los equipos técnicos de las empresas y hacer preguntas sobre los problemas y los datos.

Las competencias arrancan durante la primer semana de Junio y cierran antes del comienzo de la Escuela de Ciencias Informáticas 2019. Se comunicarán los ganadores durante la semana anterior a la ECI y la entrega de premios será en la ceremonia de cierre de la Escuela (Viernes 26 de Julio).

AFRICOMM 2019 Submission Deadline Extended! 11th EAI International Conference on e‐Infrastructure and e‐Services for Developing Countries

Scope 

Deploying efficient and effective infrastructures and solutions when limited resources are available is a challenging task and a key-enabler for the diffusion of ICT in developing countries. The aim of this conference is bringing together international researchers, students, public officers, policy makers and practitioners in ICT to discuss issues and trends, recent research, innovation advances and on-the-field experiences related to e-Governance, e-Infrastructure, and e-Business with a focus on developing countries.

AFRICOMM 2019 solicits high-quality papers reporting research results and/or experimental results on e-Infrastructures and e-Services for developing countries. Submissions will be judged on their originality, significance, clarity, relevance, and technical correctness.
