 Taller de GIT

Duración: 1 clase de 4 hs.
 
Es un taller teórico-práctico de introducción al asombroso mundo del control de versiones con Git.
Durante el mismo se explican cuestiones conceptuales del funcionamiento de Git que lo diferencian de los otros controladores de versiones.
Cada concepto es acompañado de ejercicios prácticos que los asistentes van realizando en sus propias máquinas.
Al finalizar el taller los asistentes están en condiciones comenzar a trabajar con Git en sus proyectos cotidianos utilizando las principales funcionalidades de esta poderosa herramienta.

Extreme Learning Machines (ELM) aims to enable pervasive learning and pervasive intelligence. As advocated by ELM theories, it is exciting to see the convergence of machine learning and biological learning from the long-term point of view. ELM may be one of the fundamental `learning particles’ filling the gaps between machine learning and biological learning (of which activation functions are even unknown). ELM  represents a suite of (machine and biological) learning techniques in which hidden neurons need not be tuned: inherited from their ancestors or randomly generated. ELM learning theories show that effective learning algorithms can be derived based on randomly generated hidden neurons (biological neurons, artificial neurons, wavelets, Fourier series, etc) as long as they are nonlinear piecewise continuous, independent of training data and application environments. Increasingly, evidence from neuroscience suggests that similar principles apply in biological learning systems. ELM theories and algorithms argue that “random hidden neurons” capture an essential aspect of biological learning mechanisms as well as the intuitive sense that the efficiency of biological learning need not rely on computing power of neurons. ELM theories thus hint at possible reasons why the brain is more intelligent and effective than current computers.

Call for Abstracts 
The aim of the BAFI 2018 conference is to bring together researchers and developers from data science and related areas with practitioners and consultants applying the respective techniques in different business-related domains. Our goal is to stimulate an academic exchange of recent developments as well as to encourage the mutual influence between academics and practitioners.
 
At BAFI 2018, the focus will be on methodological developments aimed at uncovering information contained in large data sets, as well as on business applications in various sectors, among them finance, retail, and telecommunications.

Entre el 18 y el 29 de Septiembre de 2017 se realizará en la ciudad de Buenos Aires (Pab 1, Ciudad Universitaria y Centro Cultural Borges) la ECAR2017: Escuela de Computación de Alto Desempeño.

 
La ECAR2017 está organizada en tres tracks simultáneos orientadas a programadores, usuarios y administradores. Los cursos serán dictados por expertos nacionales e internacionales en las temáticas relacionadas con la Computación de Alto Desempeño. El CELFI-DATOS financiará 60 becas para latinoamericanos que residan en Latinoamérica y a más de 70km de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Las becas cubren pasajes, seguro, viáticos y estipendio. El Sistema Nacional de Cómputo de Alto Desempeño (SNCAD) también ha otorgado financiamiento para la asistencia a este evento: los administradores de clusters de centros asociados al SNCAD  podrán anotarse y pedir asistencia económica de viaje, estadía y matrícula para el evento completo orientado al track "HPC Operations" en http://ecar2017.hpclatam.org/about/#registry.
 
Aquellos estudiantes que no necesiten asistencia económica para participar del evento (por ejemplos aquellos viviendo en la zona metropolitana), deben inscribirse en el sitio http://www.celfi.gob.ar/programas/detalle?p=72 para acceder a una plaza y beca de matrícula.
