The 12th International Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics (ICINCO 2015 –http://www.icinco.org) steering committee cordially invites you to submit a paper to the ICINCO 2015 Conference, to be held in Colmar, Alsace, France. The deadline for paper submission is scheduled for March 3, 2015.

The purpose of the 12th International Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics (ICINCO) is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in the application of informatics to Control, Automation and Robotics. Four simultaneous tracks will be held, covering Intelligent Control Systems, Optimization, Robotics, Automation, Signal Processing, Sensors, Systems Modelling and Control, and Industrial Engineering, Production and Management. Informatics applications are pervasive in many areas of Control, Automation and Robotics; This conference intends to emphasize this connection.

We would like to highlight the presence of Krzysztof Kozlowski, Poznan University of Technology, Poland as our first keynote lecture.

ICINCO is interested in promoting high quality research as it can be confirmed by last year acceptance rates, where from 301 submissions, 52% of which were orally presented (20% as full papers).

Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and on CD-ROM support.
A short list of presented papers will be selected so that revised and extended versions of these papers will be published by Springer-Verlag in a LNEE Series book.
The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI), INSPEC, DBLP, EI (Elsevier Index) and Scopus.
All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SCITEPRESS Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/). SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/).

Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference closing session. Please check the website for further information (http://www.icinco.org/BestPaperAward.aspx).

ICINCO will also held a Doctoral Consortium on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics intended to bring together Ph.D. students within these fields to discuss their research in an international forum.

Workshops, Special sessions, Tutorials as well as Demonstrations dedicated to other technical/scientific topics are also envisaged: companies interested in presenting their products/methodologies or researchers interested in holding a tutorial are invited to contact the conference secretariat. Workshop chairs and Special Session chairs will benefit from logistics support and other types of support, including secretariat and financial support, to facilitate the development of a valid idea.

ICINCO 2015 will be held in conjunction with ICETE 2015 (http://www.icete.org/), ICSOFT 2015 (http://www.icsoft.org/), SIMULTECH 2015 (http://www.simultech.org/) and DATA 2015 (http://www.dataconference.org/) in Colmar, Alsace, France. Registration to ICINCO will enable free attendance to any sessions of ICETE 2015, ICSOFT 2015, SIMULTECH 2015 and DATA 2015 conferences as a non-speaker.

Zhangjiajie is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an AAAAA (the highest class) scenic area in China. Towering sandstones mesas, dense forests, and deep ravines form the gorgeous and mysterious natural landscape. With many spectacularly-shaped stone pillars, hidden valleys, seas of cloud, majestic waterfalls, wandering streams, clear lakes, and limestone caves, Wulingyuan is a must-see in China. Avatar, James Cameron’s block-buster movie, did much of its filming in these beautiful mountains. 

 

As with the past ICNC-FSKD conferences, all papers in conference proceedings will be submitted to both EI Compendex and ISTP (ISI Proceedings), as well as IEEE Xplore. Extended versions of selected best papers will appear in an ICNC-FSKD special issue of International Journal on Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence, a SCI-index journal.

Extreme Learning Machines (ELM) aim to break the barriers between the conventional artificial learning techniques and biological learning mechanism. ELM  represents a suite of machine learning techniques in which hidden neurons need not be tuned. ELM learning theories show that hidden neurons (with almost any nonlinear piecewise activation functions) can be randomly generated independent of training data and application environments, which has recently been confirmed with concrete biological evidences. ELM theories and algorithms argue that “random hidden neurons” capture the essence of some brain learning mechanism as well as the intuitive sense that the efficiency of brain learning need not rely on computing power of neurons. This may somehow hint at possible reasons why the brain is more intelligent and effective than computers. ELM offers significant advantages such as fast learning speed, ease of implementation, and minimal human intervention. ELM has good potential as a viable alternative technique for large-scale computing and artificial intelligence.

 

The main theme of ELM2015 is: Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning and Biological Learning

 

Organized by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and co-organized by Zhejiang University, and Tsinghua University, China, ELM2015 will be held in the beautiful and attractive city Hangzhou, China. This conference will provide a forum for academics, researchers and engineers to share and exchange R&D experience on both theoretical studies and practical applications of the ELM technique and brain learning.

Overview

Continuous optimization is a highly interconnected field, having close
relationships to the other areas of OR, with scientific computing
and numerical analysis, and with numerous application areas. In order
to promote academic communication and cooperation between Chinese and
European researchers and practitioners in the field of optimization,
Operations Research Society of China (ORSC) and the Association of
European Operational Research Societies (EURO) will organize the Joint
ORSC / EURO International Conference 2015 on Continuous Optimization
during May 10-12, 2015. Dr. Xiaodong Hu (the President of ORSC) and
Dr. Gerhard Wäscher (President of EURO) are co-chairs of the
conference, Dr. Yuhong Dai (President of the Math Programming
Subsociety of ORSC) and Dr. Julius Zilinskas (Chair of EUROPT Managing
Board) are the co-chairs of program committee and Dr. Yanqin Bai

deadline for abstract submission is February 13, 2015.

After the conference, it will be possible to submit a full paper for
the special issue of the Journal of the Operations Research Society of
China published by Springer. The papers must be written in English and
