Authors of early submissions to WMSCI 2015 or any of its collocated events, and, consequently of potential early registrations, will be invited for submitting a second paper in special topics; which, if accepted, will require **no additional fee for its presentation**, as it is being informed in the web site. These topics, which will be selected by the Organizing Committee, are very important topics, but are not among the priorities of the grants. The IIIS will finance this kind of papers which are important for many authors but not important for policy makers in organizations financially supporting the participations in conferences.
Selection of keynote speakers will also be done among the early submissions and, consequently, among the early registrations, because to invite authors as keynote speakers will require an additional reviewing which will be related to the author’s CV, and its respective process of verification and validation.
The above two paragraphs also apply to authors of early registrations in *invited sessions*. In the conference web site you can find the steps to organize an invited session in a topic of your research interest.

Open Special Issue – Recent Advances in Fuzzy Sets and Systems: Theory, Methods and Applications
September 8th, 2014 CI2S Enterprise Content Admin Dealing with uncertainty and hesitation in real life is always a challenging task, and different tools have been proposed in the literature to deal with it. In 1965, Zadeh gave the notion of fuzzy sets in his seminal paper. The study of fuzzy sets has advanced in the past 40 years in a variety of ways and in many disciplines. Fuzzy sets and systems have been widely applied to logic, economics, medicine, artificial intelligence, management science, computer science, control engineering, decision theory, operations research, pattern recognition, and robotics.
Recently, further extensions of fuzzy sets have also been introduced to deal with more complex situations.
In this special issue, we intend to consider the recent advances in theory and the related topics with real world applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
* Fuzzy control system
* Decision making methods and techniques using fuzzy sets
* Similarity/information measures
* Soft computing
* Fuzzy TOPSIS
* Fuzzy preference relations
