– CONFERENCE VENUE: Interlaken is an important and well-known tourist destination in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps, and the main transport gateway to the mountains and lakes of that region. It is not unusual for a town to be on a river, lake or an ocean, but for it to sit between two lakes may well be unique. Interlaken – between lake thun and lake brienz – can boast such a privileged position.

– SPECIAL SESSIONS: Qualified Colleagues can send us their proposals for Special Sessions. A honorarium will be given to special session organizers.

– TRAVEL GRANTS: The Conferences will offer up to 12 student travel awards of 400 Euro each, for students presenting papers. Only papers that have been considered positively by at least two reviewers can be considered. The selection will concern only papers that have been accepted and is based following the ranking established by the referees during the procedure of paper evaluation. The deadline for sending the Travel Grant application is December 15, 2013

– JOURNAL PUBLICATIONS: Extended versions of all the accepted papers will be also published in Springer Verlag Volumes OR various SCOPUS Journals(Contact us for a full list of the Journals). Check also our Previous Books in Springer Verlag.

The conference is organized by the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk
University, Brno, and the Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of

TSD series evolved as a prime forum for interaction between researchers in
both spoken and written language processing from all over the world.

The Association of European Operational Research Societies (EURO) is
pleased to  announce its sponsorship of two young OR researchers from EURO
countries willing to  participate and to present a short communication to
the XVIII ELAVIO organized by ALIO,  the Latin©\Ibero©\ American
Operations   Research   Association,   with   the   support   of   the
International Federation of OR Societies (IFORS). Travel expenses will be
covered by EURO while local expenses will be covered by IFORS.

To apply, early stage researchers with a good knowledge of English should
respond to the call by sending their National OR Society their application
including (1) a complete CV, and (2) a paper proposal (complete text or a
3©\5 pages extended abstract).

Each EURO member Society is responsible for selecting one early stage
researcher from the corresponding country and to forward her/his
candidature to the IFORS EURO Regional Vice©\ President. Candidatures must
be sent through email and before 20 December 2013.

Candidates will be ranked on the basis of two criteria, each counting for
50%:
©\ CV (Diplomas, Publications, Conference presentations, Awards, etc.)
©\ Paper proposal (originality, quality of results, closeness to OR, real
word applications, etc.).

The IFORS EURO Regional VP will inform the selected candidates as well as
IFORS, the Chair of the Scientific Committee of the IFORS Institute, and
the involved national societies about the final decision.

Announcement of the selected candidates will be given before January 15 2014.

All selected candidates must send a report to the IFORS EURO Regional VP
no later than one month after the termination of the EWSI. The report must
summarize the activities of the candidate in the Institute as well as the
benefit obtained from her/his participation.
