IMTA2026: 10th Int. Workshop on Image Mining (in conjuction with ICPR 2026) – Lyon, August 21, 2026

We are pleased to invite you to submit your work to IMTA-X-2026, the 10th International Workshop on Image Mining: Theory and Applications.

The workshop will be held in a hybrid format (in-person and online) in conjunction with the 28th International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR 2026) in Lyon, France.

Important Dates:

  • Paper Submission Deadline: June 1, 2026

  • Author Notification: June 10, 2026

  • Camera-Ready Deadline: June 20, 2026

  • Workshop Date: August 21, 2026

Scope & Topics: IMTA-X-2026 focuses on methodological advances and mathematical techniques for automating image mining. We welcome submissions in domains including, but not limited to:

  • Methodological Advances in Image Analysis and Pattern Recognition

  • New Mathematical Techniques in Image Mining

  • Image Models, Representations, and Features (Image Formalization Space)

  • Automation of Image and Data Mining

  • Analysis of Ill-Structured, Incomplete, and Contradictory Data

  • Artificial Intelligence Techniques in Image Mining

  • Applied Problems (Biology, Medicine, Industrial Applications, etc.)

Submission & dual publication:

A dual publication has been put in place, where authors can participate in both of the following tracks sequentially:

  1. Workshop Proceedings (LNCS): Accepted full papers will be published electronically in the official ICPR Workshop Proceedings via the Springer LNCS series. (See our previous LNCS proceedings here: https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-78107-0).
  2. Journal Special Issue (PRIA): We plan to select accepted papers (provided they are of considerable length and have high potential for extensionfor publication in a dedicated volume of the peer-reviewed journal Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis (PRIA, Springer, Scopus Q3). The Embodied AI Workshop is proud to announce its 7th iteration at the 2026 Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR 2026) in Denver Colorado!

The Embodied AI Workshop is proud to announce its seventh year at CVPR hosting amazing speakers, debates, embodied AI challenge presentations, and half a dozen participating organizations.

This year we will be exploring the theme of World Models for Embodied AI with subthemes including:
  • World Models for Action and Evaluation
  • Resurgence of Classic Methods (e.g. Reinforcement Learning)
  • Long-Horizon Embodied Artificial Intelligence.
We are hosting 3 Embodied AI Challenges within this year's workshop:
  • ARNOLD (Language Grounded Manipulation)
  • ManiSkill-ViTac (Vision-Tactile Fusion Bimanual Manipulation)
  • ManipArena (Desktop and Mobile Manipulation)
Call for Papers

Paper format – 2 page extended abstract
Submission style – non-archival, single blind
Submission date – May 15th 2026
Follow-up format – poster with chance of oral presentation within the workshop
We invite high-quality 2-page extended abstracts on embodied AI, especially in areas relevant to the themes of this year's workshop:

we would like to invite submissions to the Research Topic:

“Multi-Omics Integration for Clinical Decision-Making: Methods, Models, and Applications”

hosted in Frontiers in Medicine (Precision Medicine / Translational Medicine), with participation from:

  • Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence (Medicine and Public Health)
  • Frontiers in Big Data (Medicine and Public Health)

This Research Topic focuses on the development and application of computational methods for integrating heterogeneous biological data (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) to support clinically relevant insights.
