Deadline Extended IWCIM@ IEEE ISCAS 2024 | Singapore | May 19 – 22, 2024

We cordially invite you to submit your original contributions to IWCIM 2024 – the 12th International Workshop on Computational Intelligence for Multimedia Understanding (IWCIM), which will take place as a satellite workshop to IEEE ISCAS 2024, to be held in Singapore on May 19-22, 2024.
Please see the workshop website https://iwcim.itu.edu.tr/ and the general conference web page  https://2024.ieee-iscas.org/ for more information.

IWCIM 2024 is the annual workshop organized by the working group Multimedia Understanding through Semantics, Computation and Learning (MUSCLE) of the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERCIM).
Multimedia understanding is an important part of many intelligent applications in our social life, whether in our households or in commercial, industrial, service, and scientific environments. Analyzing raw data to provide them with semantics is essential to exploit their full potential and help us manage our everyday tasks. Nowadays, raw data normally come from a host of different sensors and other sources and are different in nature, format, reliability and information content. Multimodal and cross-modal analysis are the only ways to use them at their best. Besides data analysis, this problem is also relevant to data description intended to help storage and mining. Interoperability and exchangeability of heterogeneous and distributed data is a need for any practical application. Semantics is information at the highest level, and inferring it from raw data (that is, from information at the lowest level) entails exploiting both data and prior information to extract structure and meaning. Computation, machine learning, statistical and Bayesian methods are tools to achieve this goal at various levels.

Robotics Science and Systems 2024 Call for Papers

We are pleased to announce the 20th edition of the “Robotics: Science and Systems” (RSS) conference to be held at the Technical University of Delft in Delft, Netherlands, from July 15 – 19, 2024.

RSS is a single-track conference that connects researchers working on all aspects of robotics including scientific foundations, mechanisms, algorithms, applications, and analysis of robotic systems. The single-track format gives attendees an opportunity to learn about state-of-the-art research in all areas of robotics. The conference will consist of oral and poster presentations of accepted papers, demonstrations, invited talks, and panels.

The conference will preserve the RSS tradition of selecting excellent papers via a thorough and fair review process. Paper submissions will be evaluated in terms of their novelty, technical quality, significance, potential impact, and clarity.

The conference will again include the recently added category of Demo contributions, similar to conferences in related research areas, resulting in a Demo Track during the main conference.

RSS seeks high-quality research papers and demos that introduce new ideas and stimulate future trends in robotics. We invite paper and demo submissions in all areas of robotics, including:

  • Assembly, Logistics and Manufacturing;
  • Assistive, Entertainment and Service Robots;
  • Autonomous Vehicle Navigation & Mobile Robots;
  • Bioinspired Robots;
  • Control & Dynamics;
  • Cognitive Modeling & Knowledge Representation for Robots;
  • Field Robotics (e.g., Aerial, Agricultural, Construction, Space, Underwater Robotics);
  • Formal Methods for Robotics;
  • Grasping & Manipulation;
  • Human-Robot Interaction;
  • Humanoid & Walking Robots;
  • Mechanisms & Design;
  • Medical Robotics;
  • Multi-Robot & Networked Systems;
  • Robot Learning;
  • Robot Modeling & Simulation;
  • Robot Perception, Sensing & Vision;
  • Robot Planning;
  • Robot State Estimation, Localization & Mapping;
  • Soft Robots.

Regular and demo paper submissions will be due on February 2, 2024.  Full details about the submission and review timeline are available at: https://roboticsconference.org/information/cfp/
