Call for Workshop and Special Session Proposals for the 2026 IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence & eXtended and Virtual Reality (AIxVR) in Osaka, Japan

The 2026 IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence & eXtended
and Virtual Reality (AIxVR) will be held in Osaka, Japan. In conjunction with
the main conference track, we will be hosting Workshop and Special Sessions.
Workshops and special sessions are integrated into the main event taking place
Jan 26-28, 2026. They typically take place in parallel sessions in the
afternoons of all three conference dates. Special sessions typically occupy
one time slot (ca. 1-2 hours). Workshops can take place on a full afternoon or
half of it. Due to the integration of these events into the main conference,
there is no separate workshop registration, but attendees must register for
the whole conference. Likewise, all conference attendees can attend all
workshops and special sessions.

Workshops offer the opportunity to discuss topics related to AR/VR and AI more
focused, explore new research directions and novel applications, and provide
excellent opportunities for networking. Workshops should have a call for
papers and therefore typically feature several regular paper presentations.
These can be complemented with other activities such as invited talks, panels,
demos, roundtables, and hands-on sessions.

Special sessions provide organizers with an opportunity to host a session
about a dedicated topic related to the conference as part of the technical
program. Organizers are expected to recruit submissions, invite speakers, and
take other related actions to organize their sessions. They should have a
separate call for papers and typically feature at least four paper
presentations, which can be complemented with other activities, such as
invited talks or panels.

Accepted workshop and special session papers can be submitted for inclusion in
the IEEE Xplore Digital Library as part of the conference proceedings
published by IEEE Computer Society Press if they are thoroughly reviewed by at
least two experts. Invited papers can be published as well if reviewed
according to the same criteria.

2nd International Workshop on Security and Truth in the Era of AI-Generated Media Manipulation (STAMM-2026) – 40th AINA-2026 Conference

In conjunction with 40th AINA-2026 Conference

Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand 🌿

April 8 to April 10, 2026

Submission deadline: November 15, 2025

About The Workshop

============================================

As artificial intelligence continues to evolve, its impact on the media landscape has become both transformative and concerning. The ability to manipulate and generate synthetic content at scale has given rise to an era of widespread information disorder, where the authenticity of text, images, and videos is frequently called into question. From deepfakes to AI-generated misinformation, media manipulation presents a pressing global challenge that undermines trust in communication and fuels disinformation campaigns. This workshop focuses on the technological solutions needed to combat these threats and safeguard the integrity of information in the digital age.

STAMM-2026 aims to bring together experts from academia, industry, and research to discuss the latest advancements in AI technology addressing the detection, prevention, and mitigation of media manipulation. The workshop will explore how AI can act both as a catalyst for information disorder and as a solution to its most critical challenges. The event will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, fostering the development of novel technologies that can restore trust in digital content and protect against AI-driven misinformation.

We invite research contributions that lie at the intersection of AI, media manipulation, and information disorder. Our focus is on solutions that leverage AI to detect manipulated content, defend against adversarial AI techniques, and ensure the authenticity of media within an increasingly fragmented information ecosystem.
