Actualmente es Investigador Postdoctoral en King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

Scope & Topics

With technology evolving as briskly as seen to date, many business organizations are hanging their strategies and are adopting cloud services. Organizations typically look forward to exploiting the recent trends in cloud computing such as multi-cloud, cloud AI, Kubernetes, and quantum computing, which can help them to cash in on their investment in the long run. The demand for cloud services, especially Infrastructure-as-a-Service (or IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), has been growing exponentially over the last two years. Furthermore, according to Accenture, almost a quarter of companies have started using cloud-based applications since 2020, and more than 10 percent plan to expand their use of cloud computing in 2025. Cloud computing has therefore become an integral part of the internet ecosystem, including its associated technologies, such as quantum computing, artifical intelligence, and IoT, and is well on its way to becoming the preferred technology deployment model for companies around the globe. The scope of this Special Issue is to explore the latest trends in the field of cloud computing and to expose readers to the recent advancements and applications in this area.

Topics:

  • Hybrid Cloud
  • Edge Computing
  • Serverless Architecture
  • Cloud Gaming
  • Cloud-Based Application Development
  • Distributed cloud
  • Open source cloud
  • Quantum Computing
  • Security and Privacy in Cloud

This issue will be published in EAI Endorsed Transactions on Cloud Systems an open-access, peer-reviewed journal abstracted/indexed in CrossRef, DBLP, DOAJ, among others. This journal is focused on cloud systems and four technology pillars: mobile computing, cloud services, big data analytics, and social networking. The journal publishes research articles, review articles, commentaries, editorials, technical articles, and short communications with a triannual frequency. Authors are not charged for article submission and processing.

Call for Workshop Proposals: ACM ICMR ‘2022

ACM ICMR 2022 (https://www.icmr2022.org/ ) is calling for high quality Workshops addressing innovative research in multimedia retrieval and its related broad fields.

The main scope of the conference is not only search and retrieval of multimedia data but also analysis and understanding of multimedia contents including

              community-contributed social data,

lifelogging data and automatically generated sensor data,

              integration of diverse multimodal data,

deep learning-based methodology and practical multimedia applications

The Workshops will contain both :

Long research papers which should present complete work with evaluations on topics related to the Conference. They will have both oral and poster presentations at the conference.

and

Short research papers should present preliminary results or more focused contributions. They will be presented as posters at the conference.

Workshop submission information is available at the following link:

https://www.icmr2022.org/calls/workshop/

The dead line for workshop proposal is:  30th of December 2021

Please submit your proposals to the workshop chairs
