51st Annual IEEE Conference on Local Computer Networks (LCN)
Coimbra, Portugal | October 7–9, 2026
Conference website: https://www.ieeelcn.org
*********************************************************************
Scope
IEEE LCN 2026 will feature a demo session to showcase demonstrations
that validate key research issues and/or demonstrate innovative
prototypes. Authors are invited to submit technical demonstrations (no
more than 3 pages) showing innovative and original research. The authors
are encouraged to highlight the research component of the demo and
explicitly note the novelty of the technology or solution showcased. The
proposal should include a one-page description of what conference
participants will see or experience during the demonstration. IEEE LCN
is seeking demonstrations across all topics covered by the main
conference and/or special tracks held in conjunction with LCN 2026.
Research prototypes and commercial products are welcome.
All accepted papers will be published in the IEEE LCN 2026 Companion
proceedings.

Demo Submission and Author Instructions
Demo papers (no more than 3 pages, including references) must be
submitted via EDAS to the LCN Demo Track
(https://www.edas.info/newPaper.php?c=35469&track=135774).
All paper titles must have the prefix “Demo:” (both in the EDAS
submission and the paper PDF); i.e., a title for the demo paper must be
in the following form — “Demo: <PaperTitle>”.
Papers must be submitted electronically to EDAS in PDF format, US Letter
size (not A4), with all fonts embedded (PDF-A standard). Please format
your submission using the IEEE templates found at
https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html.
Demonstrations will be selected based on their merits and the expected
interest among LCN attendees. All demo papers will be reviewed by the
technical program committee members via the EDAS reviews. The reviews
will be provided to the authors along with the notification.
Accepted papers will be allowed to add one more page for the
camera-ready version. This would allow the accepted paper authors to
address the reviewer comments. The camera-ready version may not exceed 4
pages, including references.
*********************************************************************
Demo Presentation
All accepted demo papers shall be presented. The presentation will be
organized in a parallel session dedicated to a face-to-face demo. Demo
presenters will have the opportunity to perform live demos while
answering audience questions. In addition, authors of accepted demos
will be asked to record a video, which will be made available to
attendees during the conference to best showcase their demo.
The best demo award will go to the demo with the most audience votes.
*********************************************************************
Important dates (tentative)
• Demo submission deadline: July 15, 2026
• Acceptance notification: August 15, 2026
• Final camera ready: September 07, 2026

Registration for Demos
For conference registration, a demo is regarded as a paper, i.e.,
• Demo presenters with no accepted conference paper must select “author
registration” when registering for the conference
• Demo presenters with an accepted LCN paper incur an extra charge for a
demo; please select an additional paper for the demo when registering
For each accepted demo, at least one author must register for the LCN
2026 main conference and present their demo during the scheduled demo
session(s). The registration category must include the author's presence
at the demo session.
Please feel free to contact the Demonstration Chair (demos@ieeelcn.org)
with any questions about the demo content or setup.
Kind Regards,
LCN 2026 Organizing Committee
