With a number of breakthroughs in autonomous system technology over the past decade, the race to commercialize self-driving cars has become fiercer than ever. The integration of advanced sensing, computer vision, signal/image processing, and machine/deep learning into autonomous vehicles enables them to perceive the environment intelligently and navigate safely. Autonomous driving is required to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient automated mobility in complex uncontrolled real-world environments. Various applications range from automated transportation and farming to public safety and environment exploration. Visual perception is a critical component of autonomous driving. Enabling technologies include: a) affordable sensors that can acquire useful data under varying environmental conditions, b) reliable simultaneous localization and mapping, c) machine learning that can effectively handle varying real-world conditions and unforeseen events, as well as “machine-learning friendly” signal processing to enable more effective classification and decision making, and d) resilient and robust platforms that can withstand adversarial attacks and failures. The Autonomous Vehicle Vision (AVVision) Special Session at the IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Systems 2021 (ICAS'21) will cover all these topics. Research papers are solicited in, but not limited to, the following topics:

Submission 

Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length papers (up to 4 pages for technical content including figures and possible references, and with one additional optional 5th page containing only references) via the IEEE ICAS 2021 conference website. Manuscripts should be original (not submitted/published anywhere else) and written in accordance with the standard double-column SPS IEEE conference format.

IEEE ICAS 2021 requires that each accepted paper be presented by one of the authors in-person at the conference site according to the schedule to be published. Any paper accepted into the technical program, but not presented on-site will be withdrawn from the official proceedings archived on IEEE Xplore.

Creative domains, such as fashion, art and design, are a significant part of modern society, and much effort centers around the creation, consumption and analytics of creative visual content. In recent years, there has been an explosion of research in applying machine learning and computer vision algorithms to various aspects of the creative domains, including generating, analyzing and processing visual content.

Our Computer Vision for Fashion, Art, and Design (CVFAD) workshop in its 4th edition aims to build on the success of the previous versions, and on the increased interest witnessed over time, to create a space for collaboration between artists, professionals in creative industries and computer vision scientists.

Call for submissions

The workshop will provide five keynotes with diverse backgrounds to encourage interdisciplinary discussions and idea sharing, as well as a paper track.

For the paper track, we solicit papers on developing and applying computer vision techniques that are valuable in the creative domains, with an emphasis on fashion, art and design. These submissions will undergo a peer-review process. To provide rich opportunities to share opinions and experience in such an emerging field, we will accept paper submissions on established and novel ideas, as well as workshop challenges.

Topics of papers include but are not limited to:

-Style and product recommendation

-Cross-domain visual search for fashion

-Visual size and fit advice

-Virtual try-on/wardrobe

-Body Shape Prediction

-Automatic article tagging

-Trend analysis and forecasting

-Efficient methods for fashion search

-Clothing landmark estimation

-Style propagation modeling

Accepted papers will be part of the workshop proceedings and be displayed on our website. The top papers will also be invited to present orally during the workshop. Submitted papers should follow the CVPR 2021 paper template. The page limit is less than four pages, excluding references. Submitted work can be shorter versions (extended abstract) of work presented at the main conference or work in progress which may (or may not) be submitted to a different conference at a later date. The accepted papers will be linked at the workshop webpage. Papers will be peer reviewed under single-blind policy, and must be submitted online through the CMT submission system at https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/CVFAD2021.

Authors can choose to include their paper as part of the CVPR Workshop Proceedings if the paper is not the shorter version of an accepted work in the CVPR 2021 proceedings. Papers which exceed the page limit (four pages excluding references) will result in rejection.

Thanks to the 4-pages limitations, submitting at our workshop will not prevent you from submitting to conferences.

Dear colleagues,

We cordially invite you to participate to the 2nd SHApe Recovery from Partial textured 3D scans (SHARP 2021) Workshop and Challenge, which will be held virtually in conjunction with CVPR (19-25 June, 2021). The goal of this workshop is to promote concepts that exploit both shape and texture in the processing of 3D scans in general, with a special attention to the specific task of recovery from partial and noisy data. This workshop will host a paper submission track and a competition.

 

Call for participation to the competition:

SHARP 2021 Competition focuses on the reconstruction of a full 3D textured mesh from a partial 3D scan. We introduce three challenges:

Challenge 1: Reconstruction of full 3D textured meshes from partial 3D human scans.

Challenge 2: Reconstruction of full 3D textured meshes from partial 3D generic object scans.

Challenge 3: Recovery of feature edges of 3D object scans.

In order to participate to SHARP challenges, two submission options are possible:

  • Paper (required: a paper describing the method; optional: working source code)
  • Code (required: a working implementation of the method as source code; optional: accompanying paper).

 

  • An overall 9k€ will be awarded as cash prizes to the winners by our sponsor Artec 3D!

Call for papers:

Original contributions that relate to and serve the goal of data-driven textured 3D shape processing and analysis are encouraged. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Textured 3D data representation and evaluation
  • Textured 3D scan feature extraction
  • Generative modelling of textured 3D scans
  • Learning-based 3D reconstruction
  • Joint texture and shape matching
  • Joint texture and shape completion

 

  • Semantic 3D data reconstruction
  • Effective 3D and 2D data fusion
  • Textured 3D data refinement
  • 3D feature edge detection and refinement
  • High-level representations of 3D data
  • CAD modeling from unstructured 3D data

Submitted papers should be 4 to 8 pages length (excluding references). All accepted papers will be included in the CVPR 2021 conference proceedings. The papers will be peer-reviewed and they must comply with the CVPR 2021 proceedings style and format.
