The Department of Computer Science (http://cs.uncc.edu) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) seeks candidates for a tenure-track position at any rank. The Department seeks the best candidates in all areas of Computer Science. It is particularly interested in candidates with foundational, use-inspired, or transdisciplinary research interests in:
· Foundations of Computing, including quantum computing, combinatorial and continuous optimization, and applications to machine learning.
· Artificial intelligence, including explainable AI, human-AI collaboration, machine learning, robotics, and computer vision.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related discipline, and possess a record that demonstrates excellence (or the strong potential for excellence) in research and teaching both at the undergraduate and graduate levels; experience or potential for external funding; a commitment to integrity and ethics, respect, diversity and pluralism; and can enhance research and training opportunities in CS. The Department is especially interested in candidates who are committed to diversity, accessibility, and inclusion. MSc in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience — 2021-22 applications now OPEN

Daniela Lopez de Luise The MSc in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience programme at Goldsmiths, University of London (UK) is now accepting application for part-time and full-time studies in 2021-22.
This cutting-edge Masters course, a combined effort of the Computing and Psychology Departments, builds on the multi-disciplinary and strong research profiles of our staff. It equips students with a solid theoretical basis and knowledge of experimental methods in computational cognitive neuroscience, providing them also with an opportunity to consolidate their skills in a practical research project, possibly carried out in collaboration with a partner from industry.

29th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation – MED 2021: Deadline extension
January 8th, 2021 Daniela Lopez de Luise Please be informed that the Organizing Committee of 29th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation – MED 2021 – (www.med2021.poliba.it) [22-25 June 2021- Bari, Italy] has extended the submission date of the invited session proposal to 14th January 2021, which is the very final deadline.
The paper submissions are open and are possible by 15th January 2021, this date will be susceptible to extension too.
The safety and health of all colleagues, awaited participants, and guests is a top priority for MED 2021 Organizing Committee, therefore, we are constantly and closely following the pandemic situation, as well the recommendations of health authorities.
With the aim of facilitating participation in the conference, the MED2021 will be held as a hybrid conference allowing registrants the choice to participate physically or to connect remotely.
Hopefully, the pandemic situation will be much better in June 2021 and international travel will be restored. However, due to the significant uncertainty worldwide at this time, MED 2021 provides a priori the option of online participation, which will allow everybody to participate even if their home country has travel restrictions. Online participation will have reduced registration fees.
We strongly encourage you, your teammates and colleagues to submit papers to this outstanding Conference and present your results in person or on-line.

The 38th International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML 2021) will be held online July 18-24, 2021. In addition to the main conference sessions, the conference will also include Expo, Tutorials, and Workshops. Please submit proposals to the appropriate chairs.
We invite submissions of papers on all topics related to machine learning for the main conference proceedings. All papers will be reviewed in a double-blind process and accepted papers will be presented at the conference.

Policies
Deadlines:
Abstract and paper submission deadlines are strict. In no circumstances will extensions be given.
Changes of title/abstract/authorship:
Authors should include a full title for their paper, as well as a complete abstract by the abstract submission deadline. Submission titles should not be modified after the abstract submission deadline, and abstracts should not be modified by more than 50% after the abstract submission deadline. Submissions violating these rules may be deleted after the paper submission deadline without reviewing. The author list at the submission deadline will be considered final, and no changes in authorship will be permitted for accepted papers.
Double-Blind Review:
All submissions must be anonymized and may not contain any information with the intention or consequence of violating the double-blind reviewing policy, including (but not limited to) citing previous works of the authors or sharing links in a way that can infer any author’s identity or institution, actions that reveal the identities of the authors to potential reviewers.
Authors are allowed to post versions of their work on preprint servers such as Arxiv. Also they are allowed to give talks to restricted audiences on the work(s) submitted to ICML during the review. If you have posted or plan to post a non-anonymized version of your paper online before the ICML decisions are made, the submitted version must not refer to the non-anonymized version, and you will be required to provide a link to the on-line version of your paper. This link will not be visible to the reviewers.
ICML strongly discourages advertising the preprint on social media or in the press while under submission to ICML. Under no circumstances should your work be explicitly identified as ICML submission at any time during the review period, i.e. from the time you submit the abstract to the communication of the accept/reject decisions.
Dual Submission:
It is not appropriate to submit papers that are identical (or substantially similar) to versions that have been previously published, accepted for publication, or submitted in parallel to other conferences or journals. Such submissions violate our dual submission policy, and the organizers have the right to reject such submissions, or to remove them from the proceedings.
Reviewing Criteria:
Accepted papers must contain significant novel results. Results can be either theoretical or empirical. Results will be judged on the degree to which they have been objectively established and/or their potential for scientific and technological impact. Reproducibility of results and easy availability of code will be taken into account in the decision-making process.
Style and Author Instructions:
View author and style instructions. Style files and an example paper are available. Submitted papers that do not conform to these policies will be rejected without review.
