++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

iLRNFuser is the official Online Game Jam series of the Immersive Learning Research Network (iLRN at http://immersivelrn.org). The series provides opportunities for university/college student teams from around the world, participating remotely from their own physical locations, to engage in a hackathon-style game-development marathons. Founded in the spirit of global solidarity and cooperation, iLRNFuser brings together people representing diverse backgrounds, interests, and skill sets to creatively express themselves as well as promote shared understanding through the universal medium of video games. Each Jam in the series addresses a theme linked to one or more the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (see https://immersivelrn.org/ilrnfuser/#un-sdgs).

The inaugural iLRNFuser 2020 Game Jam will be held in conjunction with the iLRN 2020 Virtual Conference (http://immersivelrn.org/ilrn2020), with the Jam itself taking place the week before the conference (June 14 to 21, 2020). The theme will be announced via the iLRN website on Sunday, June 14, and teams will have one week to design and produce their games addressing the theme.

More information about the upcoming Jam and how to participate can be found at: http://immersivelrn.org/ilrnfuser/ilrnfuser-2020

Awards will be presented to the winning (first place) and runner-up (second place) teams. All teams that submit a game will receive certificates of participation.

ECCV 2020 – Workshop on Imbalance Problems in Computer Vision (IPCV)

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to COVID-19 outbreak IPCV2020 is going 100% ONLINE

As an online workshop, we are going to follow the online format as the main conference:

  • All papers, oral or poster, will have a pre-recorded video presentation, made available together with the paper to the attendees about a week before the workshop day.
  • Every workshop will have some scheduled individual interaction time during the workshop day.

ECCV Workshop on Imbalance Problems in Computer Vision (IPCV)

28 August 2020 https://sites.google.com/view/ipcv2020/

DATES: Paper submission: 7 July 2020

Notification: 28 July 2020

Camera ready: 7 August 2020

Workshop: 28 August 2020

CALL FOR PAPERS:

Performance of learning-based methods is adversely affected by imbalance problems at various levels, including the input, intermediate or mid-level stages of the processing or the objectives to be optimized in a multi-task setting. Currently, researchers tend to address these challenges in their particular context with problem-specific solutions and with limited awareness of the solutions proposed for similar challenges in other computer vision problems.

Imbalance problems can arise in  almost all computer vision problems and therefore, the workshop is highly relevant and interesting for a broad community. A recent, comprehensive review paper on imbalance problems in object detection (IEEE TPAMI, 2020; preprint: https://arxiv.org/abs/1909.00169)  cites over 200 papers which were written by 655 unique authors. We interpret these numbers (which are specific to just one computer vision task, namely, object detection) as strong indicators of interest in imbalance problems.

We invite contributions for (i) the dissemination of approaches developed in individual problems, as well as (ii) discussing commonalities between these approaches for developing better and more general solutions for addressing imbalance problems in computer vision.
