and on the occasion of his 70th birthday and retirement

16-17 February 2019, Rio Cuarto, Argentina

The objective of the International Symposium on the Mathematical Foundations of
Software Engineering is bringing together researchers working on the formal
foundations of software engineering, including mathematical and logical formal
methods with an emphasis on the formal and related areas such as automated analysis.
In particular, we seek to provide a venue for Latin American researchers working
in these areas, to promote their interaction and collaboration.

Invited Speakers: T.S.E. Maibaum, Carlo Ghezzi and Martin Wirsing.

Developing Countries – Resources online — IFORS

Dear Colleagues,

The aim of the IFORS Developing Countries On-Line Resources page is to
offer the OR worker all publicly-available materials on the topic of OR
for Development. It also aims to provide a venue for people who are
working in the area to share their completed or in-process work, learn
from others, and stimulate comments and discussions on the
work.Regarding IFORS Developing Countries OR resources website, its
regular updates – and your possible submission of "free" (not copyright
protected) material, you might occasionally visit
http://ifors.org/developing_countries/index.php?title=Main_Page.

"Operational Research" (OR) is the discipline of applying advanced
analytical methods to help make better decisions. By using techniques
such as problem structuring methods and mathematical modelling to
analyze complex situations, Operational Research gives executives the
power to make more effective decisions and build more productive systems.

The International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS;
http://ifors.org/) is an almost 60-year old organization which is
currently composed of 51 national societies.Regional Groups of IFORS
are:ALIO (The Latin American Ibero Association on Operations Research),
APORS (The Association of Asian-Pacific Operational Research Societies),
EURO (The Association of European Operational Research Societies), NORAM
(The Association of North American Operations Research Societies). IFORS
conferences are taking place every three years; IFORS 2017 has been
successfully celebrated in Quebec City, Canada.

Thank you very much for your attention.

With kind regards,
best wishes,
Luciana Buriol, Sue Merchant, Gerhard-Wilhelm Weber

2019 Workshop on Power Electronics and Power Quality Applications (PEPQA)
Dear colleagues,
We have the pleasure of inviting you to submit your technical research works for PEPQA 2019. The 4th International Workshop on Power Electronics and Power Quality Applications will be held on May 30-31, 2019, at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Sede Manizales, (Manizales, Colombia). This biannual workshop provides a space for students, academics, and industry professionals to collaborate on meeting the ever-increasing power electronics and power quality challenges in the Latin America region. The workshop covers a range of topics, including power electronics (PE) converters, adjustable speed drives, PE in transmission and distribution, power quality (PQ) analysis, PQ design and modeling, and simulation & education in PE/PQ.

On this opportunity I would like to communicate you that the website is already updated. You can check it in order to keep  themselves informed ,

PEPQA 2019 Web Page
Remember that the scope of our conference rely on power electronics and power quality aplications including, but not limited to the following topics:
Papers are peer-reviewed and selected on the basis of technical quality, topic affinity, and applicability to the industry. Submissions are restricted to a minimum of four and a maximum of six pages (English or spanish) will be considered for publication. It is important to highlight that, since the first edition, PEPQA's proceedings are indexed by IEEEXplore and selected papers have been accepted at IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications.

Paper submission deadline: February 15, 2019
Acceptance notification: April 1, 2019
Camera-ready: April 28, 2019
Conference: May 30 – 31, 2019

Submission via EasyChair.

We will appreciate if you please share this message with your colleagues who are interested or involved in power electronics and power quality research.

Best regards,
