9th International Conference on Bio-Inspired Computing: Theories and Applications (BIC-TA 2014)
February 6th, 2014 Daniela Lopez de Luise Bio-inspired computing focuses on abstracting computing ideas (data structures, operations with data, ways to control operations, computing models, etc.) from biological systems. The theories in this field have a deep relationship with theories in computer science and mathematics, while the biological implementation of bio-inspired computing models relies on the development of biological techniques heavily. The 9th International Conference on Bio- I nspired Computing: Theories and Applications (BIC-TA 2014) will be held from Octobe r 16–19, 2014, in Wuhan, China, http://2014.bicta.org/.
We invite authors to contribute original high quality research articles on bio-inspired computing, which report theoretical and experimental results on bio-inspired computing, or the application of bio-inspired computing in various fields. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

Papers for IES 2014 should be submitted electronically through the Symposium website, which will be refereed by international experts in the fields and assessed according to the criteria of originality, significance, quality and clarity.
All accepted papers will be published in the symposium proceedings. Selected papers from IES2014 will be invited to extend and publish in Special Issues of Soft Computing Journal (Impact Factor: 1.124) and Memetic Computing Journal. All accepted papers will be considered for the Best Overall Paper Awards and the Best Student Paper Awards, which will be presented during the symposium banquet.
