Call for Papers

The 13th International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing (ICICIP2025) will be held in Muscat, Oman, February 6-11, 2025, following the successes of previous events. As the capital of Oman, Muscat is Oman's largest city with a population of over four million people and numerous tourist attractions. ICICIP2025 aims to provide a high-level international forum for scientists, engineers, and educators to present the state of the art of research and applications in related fields. The conference will feature plenary speeches given by world-renowned scholars, regular sessions with broad coverage, special sessions focusing on popular topics, and post-conference workshops/tutorials in the region.

Prospective authors are invited to contribute high-quality papers to ICICIP2025. In addition, proposals for special sessions within the technical scopes of the symposium are solicited. Special sessions, to be organized by internationally recognized experts, aim to bring together researchers in special focused topics. Papers submitted for special sessions are to be peer-reviewed with the same criteria used for the contributed papers. Researchers interested in organizing special sessions are invited to submit formal proposals to ICICIP2025. A special session proposal should include the session title, a brief description of the scope and motivation, names, contact information, and brief biographical information on the organizers.

Authors are invited to submit full-length papers (8 pages maximum) by the submission deadline through the online submission system. Potential organizers are also invited to enlist five or more papers with cohesive topics to form special sessions. The submission of a paper implies that the paper is original and has not been submitted under review or is not copyright-protected elsewhere and will be presented by an author if accepted. All submitted papers will be refereed by experts in the field based on the criteria of originality, significance, quality, and clarity. The authors of accepted papers will have an opportunity to revise their papers and take consideration of the referees' comments and suggestions. All accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore's scope and quality requirements. Selected high-quality papers will be included in several journal special issues.

Recent advancements in deep learning algorithms, such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and Diffusion models, have led to a surge in the creation of highly realistic images and videos, which are often indistinguishable from genuine content to the human eye. While these developments have benefited the entertainment industry, they are often used to spread misinformation and manipulate public opinion. Moreover, in the security domain, synthetic and manipulated images and videos are frequently utilized to impersonate individuals, enabling unauthorized parties to bypass systems for biometric authentication gaining illegal access to sensitive information. Accurate detection of fake data is crucial for preventing security breaches and safeguarding the integrity of security measures and public information.  
 
SRBS aims to present the latest developments in the creation, evaluation, impact, and countermeasures against visual attacks on biometric systems. We invite practitioners, researchers and engineers from biometrics, signal processing, material science, mathematics, computer vision and machine learning to contribute their expertise to underpin the highlighted challenges.  
 
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: 
  • Human-oriented generative models and image/video synthesis techniques, 
  • Detection of tempered, manipulated and synthetic content,

Over the last fifty years, computational intelligence has evolved from artificial intelligence, nature-inspired computing,
and social-oriented technology to cyber-physical integrated ubiquitous intelligence towards Pervasive Intelligence (PI).
The IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Intelligence and Computing is intended to cover all kinds of these
intelligent paradigms as well as their applications in various pervasive computing domains. PICom 2024 is the
conference on Pervasive Intelligence and Computing, previously held as PCC (Las Vegas, USA, 2003 and 2004), PSC
(Las Vegas, USA, 2005), PCAC (Vienna, Austria, 2006, and Niagara Falls, Canada, 2007), IPC-2007 (Jeju, Korea,

 discussed at the conference (LBI).

==================SUBMISSION INSTRUCTION=============================
Authors are invited to submit their original research work that has not previously been submitted or published in any other venue. Regular, work-in-progress (WiP), and workshop/special session papers need to be submitted via EDAS (https://edas.info/N32602) in IEEE CS Proceedings format. IEEE formatting info: http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html
All the accepted papers will be published by IEEE in the Conference Proceedings (IEEE-DL and EI indexed). Best Paper Awards will be presented to high quality papers. Selected papers will be recommended to prestigious journal Special Issues.
Some papers originally submitted as full papers can be accepted as short papers during the review process. In such cases, the authors will need to reduce the paper accordingly when preparing the camera-ready version. At least one of the authors of any accepted paper is requested to register and present the paper at the conference.

We are thrilled to announce the First Workshop on Expressive Encounters, to be held on the 29th of September at the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV). This workshop aims to delve into the cutting-edge developments in the integration of virtual embodied agents and robots into our daily lives, exploring their roles as receptionists, home assistants, personal trainers, and much more.

Our workshop focuses on designing these agents to be not only functionally complex and useful but also understandable and socially appropriate. Drawing inspiration from human-human interactions, we seek to develop generative models and evaluation methods for socially appropriate non-verbal behaviours, taking into account cultural and personal factors.
