Invitation to collaborate to the First Workshop on Expressive Encounters at ECCV 2024

Dear Colleagues,

We are thrilled to announce the First Workshop on Expressive Encounters, to be held on the 29th of September at the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV). This workshop aims to delve into the cutting-edge developments in the integration of virtual embodied agents and robots into our daily lives, exploring their roles as receptionists, home assistants, personal trainers, and much more.

Our workshop focuses on designing these agents to be not only functionally complex and useful but also understandable and socially appropriate. Drawing inspiration from human-human interactions, we seek to develop generative models and evaluation methods for socially appropriate non-verbal behaviours, taking into account cultural and personal factors.

Key Workshop Dates:

  • Submission Deadline: 19th July

  • Notification of Acceptance: 9th August

  • Workshop: 29th September (AM)

Workshop Topics Include:

  • Multimodal data processing for gesture generation

  • Real-time gesture generation techniques

  • Incorporating personal factors into gesture generation

  • Transfer learning and transformer techniques for human-agent interactions

  • Multimodal data modelling for detecting human trust and openness towards embodied agents

We invite researchers to submit their contributions and join us in advancing the development of real-world applications involving virtual embodied agents and robots. The workshop will feature invited talks and provide a platform to exchange ideas with experts in academia and industry and contribute to the future of human-agent interaction.

The GenAI-School aims to provide an overview of the latest advances in generative AI, covering theoretical foundations, methodologies, and practical industrial applications beyond NLP. The program will introduce fundamental methodological tools and presentations from experts across diverse scientific fields.

The basic methodological tools will be presented, and then speakers from different scientific fields will present the most recent applications and developments. The aim is to bring together various speakers to cover a broad range of fields of study and offer participants an overview of generative AI and its applications.

iWOAR is an international workshop with conference character, organised in-cooperation with ACM. This year's workshop will be held in Potsdam/Berlin (Germany) at the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) during September 26-27, 2024. The workshop focuses on Human Activity Recognition and Artificial Intelligence with wearable sensors and related technologies.

CFP Track de Inteligencia Computacional – IEEE ARGENCON 2024

Nos complace extenderle una cordial invitación para participar en el Track de Inteligencia Computacional en IEEE ARGENCON 2024, el congreso bienal premium de la Sección Argentina del IEEE. Este evento se llevará a cabo del 18 al 20 de septiembre en el Hotel Colonial de San Nicolás, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Los temas de interés abarcan una amplia gama de áreas dentro de la inteligencia computacional, tales como aplicaciones inteligentes a videojuegos, deep learning, ciencia de datos, procesamiento de lenguaje natural, sistemas expertos, sistemas de predicción de riesgo, internet de las cosas, entre otros. Además, se aceptarán trabajos en áreas nuevas o no mencionadas en el listado, siempre y cuando estén relacionadas con la inteligencia computacional.

El Track de Inteligencia Computacional tiene como objetivo presentar el estado de la materia, motivar la interacción en temas relacionados, introducir avances locales e internacionales, y explorar visiones prospectivas y actuales de factores centrales. Entre las actividades planificadas se incluyen paneles de especialistas, disertaciones técnicas de expositores internacionales relevantes en el área, así como paneles dedicados a temas específicos como la inclusión de mujeres en sistemas inteligentes.

Así mismo, desde EEE Computational Intelligence Society Argentina, junto al Games Technical Committee, se complace en invitar a estudiantes de grado y posgrado a participar en el undécimo Torneo Regional de Inteligencia Computacional (TRIC) como preludio al ARGENCON 2024. El TRIC ofrece un espacio para presentar investigaciones y trabajos en áreas como Inteligencia Computacional, Videojuegos, Edutainment, Gamificación y Juegos Serios. Este evento, de acceso gratuito, se llevará a cabo el 17 de septiembre en la Universidad Tecnológica Nacional de San Nicolás, Buenos Aires, y ofrece oportunidades únicas para el desarrollo académico y profesional de los estudiantes.
