David A. Kenny’s Mediation Analysis: Nearly 100 Years of Progress

In May, Statistical Horizons launched its Distinguished Speaker Series, a series of 3-hour virtual seminars taught by some of the most prominent and innovative scholars in the field. On Wednesday, September 20th, Professor David A. Kenny will present Mediation Analysis: Nearly 100 Years of Progress.
Join Professor Kenny for a thought-provoking discussion of linear models of mediation. He'll review the basics before diving into a historical review of the progression of mediation over the last nearly 100 years, with an emphasis on the causal assumptions of mediation. Additional topics include dealing with confounding and measurement errors, the power of the indirect effect, and compelling examples of mediation successes.

This livestream seminar will be held via Zoom from 12pm-3pm ET, but you can also join asynchronously by viewing the recorded video.

Please share this information with anyone who may be interested. Email ashley@statisticalhorizons.com with any questions.

Thanks,
Ashley

The goal of SAW is to provide a forum for cognitive science/neuroscience researchers from a range of perspectives who are interested in Perception and Action, broadly construed, to come together to discuss their research and develop new directions and collaborations. The format of the workshop is intended to encourage extensive discussion among participants. To this end, we have scheduled only a small number of invited speakers, and there are no concurrent talks. In addition to the individual seminars, there will be a poster session for students, postdocs and other researchers to present their work.
