We have the pleasure of inviting you to submit your technical research works for PEPQA 2023. The 5th IEEE International Workshop on Power Electronics and Power Quality Applications will be held on Oct 5-6, 2023, at Universidad Autónoma de Occidente, (Cali, Colombia). This biannual workshop provides a space for students, academics, and industry professionals to collaborate on meeting the ever-increasing power electronics and power quality challenges in the Latin America region. The event is organized by Universidad Autónoma de Occidente, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Universidad del Rosario, Universidad de Los Andes with sponsors IAS Chapter of SB Uniandes.

The workshop covers but nor limited a range of topics as:

• PE impact on transmission and distribution: Grid following and grid forming converters in Inverter Based Resources (IBR) and Renewable Energy Systems (RES).
• PQ in energy efficient motors: adjustable speed drives, motors.
• Power converters in smart grids: controller, topologies.
• Power Quality and Power Electronics in industrial Power Systems: Design, modeling, and simulation. 
• Digital twin in power electronics and power quality. 
• Education in PE/PQ 

Papers are peer-reviewed and selected on the basis of technical quality, topic affinity, and applicability to the industry. Submissions are restricted to a minimum of four and a maximum of six pages (English or spanish) will be considered for publication. It is important to highlight that, since the first edition, PEPQA's proceedings are indexed by IEEEXplore and selected papers will be eligible for review an publication in IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications or IEEE Industry Applications Magazine.

Acceptance notification: September 1st, 2023 
Camera-ready: September 22, 2023

CALL FOR PAPERS
CONCAPAN XLI, HONDURAS 2023

The organizing committee of the 41st IEEE Convention of Central America and Panama, CONCAPAN XLI to be held in Tegucigalpa, Honduras on November 8-10 2023, is glad to invite to all interested authors to send their papers to be considered in the Technical Program of the event.

CONCAPAN is the main annual event of the IEEE CAPANA (Central America and Panama) Council and one of the most important technological events in Latin America region.

Thanks to CONCAPAN, multiple opportunities are created to interact and share with practitioners, researchers, scholars, vendors and manufacturers from different areas: Electrical Industry; Telecommunications; Control, Automation and Robotics; Data and Electronic Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Industry Applications among others.

Following topics are considered:

·    Electrical Energy and its applications and transition to Renewable Energy
·    Telecommunications, Data Networks and Digital Divide Reduction
·    Biomedical and Industry Applications
·    Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Control, Automation and Electronic Devices.
·    Aerospace Systems
·    Promoting STEM careers 
·    Technology Applications for Sustainable Development
·    Public Policies focused on innovation, promotion and development of Engineering and Technology

Submission Policies/Guidelines:

All articles should be a minimum of 4 pages long and a maximum of 6 pages.

Should be submitted vía EasyChair considering the standards and rules for submission and publication established by IEEE (including formats) and its Ethical Code.

All full-articles, submitted in English; peer-reviewed and presented in CONCAPAN (no exceptions) will be considered for possible publication in IEEE Xplore.
