EUSFLAT 2023 – Website and Call for Special Sessions

The 13th Conference of the European Society for Fuzzy Logic and Technology (EUSFLAT 2023) will take place in:

September 4-8, 2023 – Palma, Mallorca, Spain

The website is already active at https://eusflat2023.eu/ . The official social media of the conference will be Facebook and Twitter.

EUSFLAT 2023 will be jointly organized with the following conferences: FQAS 2023 and AGOP 2023.

The aim of the conference is to bring together theoreticians and practitioners working on fuzzy logic, fuzzy systems, soft computing and related areas. It will provide a platform for the exchange of ideas among scientists, engineers and students.

CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSIONS

Leading researchers and practitioners are invited to submit proposals for Special Sessions. Each special session is expected to attract 4 – 6 accepted papers. Send your proposal (up to 1 page in MS Word format) to eusflat2023@uib.eu till Monday, October 31st. Decisions on acceptance or rejection will be provided by Sunday, 6th November. The proposals should include the following information:

  • Title: Propose a title for the special session.

·       Abstract: Introduce a brief abstract of no more than approximately 100 words that allows conference attendees to understand the topic and the focus of the special session.

·       Organizers: Provide a list of organizers with their affiliations and contacts and confirm that you agree that this information will appear on the conference website.

Important: EUSFLAT Conference is open to any topics related to the fuzzy set theory from the theoretical as well as application point of view, other topics from the area of the computational intelligence, or topics from machine learning, computational linguistics, rough sets or quantum structures, etc. are highly welcomed and encouraged to build special sessions or even special tracks.

Looking forward to meeting you in Palma.

CALL FOR PAPERS

________________

The First Workshop on Photorealistic Image and Environment Synthesis for Computer Vision (PIES-CV) will engage experts and researchers on the synthesis of photorealistic images and virtual environments, particularly in the form of public datasets, software tools, and infrastructures, for computer vision (CV) research. Such public datasets, software tools, and infrastructures will enable researchers to better investigate how photorealism affects CV algorithms and approaches. Photorealistic image and environment synthesis can benefit multiple research areas in addition to CV, such as machine learning, robotics, human perception, multimedia systems, and mixed reality.

The topics of interest include but are not limited to:

●            360° image/video capture and playback

●            Automated/semi-automated reconstruction

●            Computer vision algorithms based on photorealistic data

●            Environment capture/scanning

●            Evaluations of photorealistic images and environments

●            High-fidelity mesh representations

●            Image/video capture and playback

●            Machine learning models based on photorealistic data

●            Manipulation and interaction with synthetic objects

●            Point cloud representations

●            Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM)
