Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the 21st Parallel Programming Marathon, an
HPC programming contest that will be held on November 3-4, 2026, in
Natal/RN, Brazil, in conjunction with SSCAD 2026
(https://sscad2026.imd.ufrn.br/).

Since 2006, the Parallel Programming Marathon has been a high-level
competition designed to foster knowledge and skills in Parallel and
Distributed Programming. The challenge is not only to correctly solve
the proposed problems, but also to achieve the best possible performance
through parallelization and optimization of the solutions.

This year, the competition will once again feature two categories:
on-site and *remote*.

Each team may consist of up to three (3) undergraduate or graduate
students and one coach. Teams participating in the on-site category
will also compete for the Marathon awards.
